Looking for a medium duty (to hold a DVX) set of tripod legs that has a telescoping center column (like your typical Gitzo for a still cam ball head) that can convert to a bowl to accept a video/film cam fluid head, 20 lbs or so capacity. Anyone have a lead? Thanks.

Adding a hard disk and RAM, i've used OWC but wondering if it makes sense to add an internal 250 gig (Hitachi, Maxtor, Seagate) or another firewire but the xfer rate is a bit better internal, no?

Anyone have this happen? My DVX arrived last week and ran a test tape thru it (63MQ). Upon playback, I get intermittant horizontal banding/pixelated breakup AND static in the L audio channel. Luckily, I opted to buy from an authorized Panasonic dealer and it's going back. :o
