I've received two FCP project files from two different editors - one edited the first half of a film and the other edited the second half as part of an off-line collaborative project. The on-line editor has requested that he just receive one project file so, if I may ask, does anyone know how...
An unusual thing appears to be happening with a final cut project and I would really appreciate any suggestions as to how or why. An editor sent me a copy of his Final Cut Pro project file for a film he’s been working on for us. However, this is the first time we’ve used this editor and he...
Sorry to ask a stupid question, but I've received some QuickTime files - some of which are over 2GB and don't play in QuickTime or import into Premiere Pro as a 'generic error' comes up. I'm assuming there's still a 2GB file limitation size for PC systems? Is there any work-around for this issue?
Does anyone know what directory the title files are stored? In Premiere Pro they are not only stored as a seperate file on the hard drive but automatically show in the project clip window once created. I can't seem to find either in Final Cut Pro.
I'm having trouble figuring out how to output my 16:9 widescreen footage to a letterboxed 4:3 format to play on non-widescreen tv's.
My motion plugins for v6.5 obviously don't work in pro 1.5 or 2.0 so precisely how does one output finished 16:9 to letterboxed 4:3?
I realise there are...
Has anyone experienced a situation in Premiere Pro where you import a batch of video files and, after Premiere has conformed the audio on the files, the conformed files have no sound? It's happening to about a third of them.
I've checked the original files and they still have sound, so why...
I'd like to ask a question if I may regarding EDL's, which is a follow-on from a previous post. Just what is the correct way to import an EDL into Premere Pro? I've checked the manuals, help-files, forums and Internet and there's really no clear 'how to'. Yes, I know it's supposed to be easy...
I apologise if this has been asked before but I wasn't able to find anything definitive when searching the forums... I have QuickTime files with EDL's to recreate the editing already done elsewhere on Final Cut Pro.
I'm trying to open the QuickTime files but, as it's on a PC with Premiere Pro...

Has anyone ever come across the following problem opening a QuickTime file created in FCP? I was sent a QuickTime file of a 90 minute film and can't open it or import it into FCP, PremierePro or Avid without it needing the original video and audio files which it was created from. The editor is a...
Forgive what may be a daft question but, having been given a very long FCP project, I'd like to split it into smaller easily managed ones. Is it possible to split, say, a thirty minute project into three ten minute ones keeping all the editing decisions intact?
