Does anyone know what directory the title files are stored? In Premiere Pro they are not only stored as a seperate file on the hard drive but automatically show in the project clip window once created. I can't seem to find either in Final Cut Pro.
Nope, I'm afraid the editor who is sending me the last few files doesn't seem to be able to find them there and they don't show up in his project except for the timeline.
In the Bin window there should paths for all the files that are in a project. I'm not 100% sure if Title files will have a path there, but worth a shot.
Thanks, but apparently there's no bin reference showing - it's almost as if titles are timeline only. I'll ask him to check every folder on his computer. Failing that I'll have to create whole new ones (quite a lot of rolling credits)!
He can't find them on the hard drive or the project bin, but yes, they are in the timeline and render perfectly. Weird isn't it? No matter, I've just spent the last few hours creating new rolling end credits. But it would have been nice if the title files showed in the project bin or documents folder. Anyway, many thanks for the kind suggestions.
I was informed Final Cut Project files on their own don't have associated titles or other media in them, being a reference to such media. However, I've just opened the project file copy he sent me again - just in case I missed it the first twenty times - and I'm afraid it's still not there. No matter, I've retyped it all out and a bit of carpal tunnel syndrome isn't life threatening!
