Hey Guys,
I've sold my camera! The DVX100 is no more :embarasse But before selling, I had one last hurrah and made my most ambitious film to date.
It's a 33 minute horror chill-ride that will have you hanging onto the edge of your seat!
Filmed on the DVX100B, Vinten tripod, Rode mic and a...
Hi All,
I've inherited a beautiful 13inch unibody MacBook by Apple. As nice as it is, it has NO FireWire ports whatsoever. I'd really like to be able to sell my old iMac to my Mamma, and use only the laptop. But how can I capture my footage?
I'm using the DVX100 B
13 inch macbook, no FireWire...
Hi All!
Working on some medium to rotund size projects right now, but here is a small one we did:

And here it is on YouTube (Bad Quality):
CLICK ME
Filmed only with the Panasonic DVX100B, handheld (obviously).
And if you didn't see our last film "Underbite", it's on the website...
Hi guys!
A number of months ago I posted the first cut of my first DVX short film… I really enjoyed the response I got from you guys and it gave me a lot of confidence and hope for the work.
So much so that I did pursue getting a proper score written for it (so that we could get around...
Hi Guys,
I have a 10 minute film that I'm wanting to get as close to 100mb as I can (but not over) Ideally it would be a .mov file or a .mpeg.
Obviously, quality is the key factor here.
I've been using the quicktime conversion settings, turning the film into a .mov file using the "Broadband...
Hello All,
I'm wanting to submit my recent film to a BBC competition, but they want a copy on no less than... vhs.
Eeeeewwweee
I'm gonna have to ask my Grandpa how to use one.
But I thought I'd ask you guys too. If I print my film to tape from FCP (using the DVX) and then play it into the...
So the reality is you’re going to want to buy more equipment than just a 35mm adaptor, isn’t it?
What do you really need to get started on your 35mm adventure? What are the bare minimum pieces of kit you need before you can go out there and start filming?
Here’s what I’m piecing together, but...
The Short Of It…
My first Panasonic DVX100B (pal) film. Here’s the link, right click and save:
http://www.dudleyrees.co.uk/underbite.mov (55MB approx.)
My website provider insisted there was no limit to how many times it could be downloaded. Ha! – We’ll see about that. If the link goes down...
Am I out of my mind!? I've been seraching the forum for the last 2 hours for an answer I know will be out there already, but where?
I've got a video to post, I need to export it for the web. It's 10 minutes and I want it under 100mb.
Using Quicktime Conversion seems like a good idea to me. But...
Hi, I'm using the PAL DVX so all my footage is at 25P.
Any clue why when I speed clips up in FCP the shot becomes jagged - “interlaced” style?
Is it a setting I’ve missed?
And now I’ve edited most of my film is there any way of getting rid of it without having to do it all again?
- I’m sorry...
Hi,
I'm using FCP but I’d quite like to fiddle some of the the sound in Audacity
- yeah I've said it, fiddle.
When I export my movie for DVD its in the form of .m2v for the video and .aiff for the audio.
Can anyone think of any issues or obvious problems with me just importing the audio...
Hey guys, I know there has got to be a ridiculously simple answer to this, but i can't seem to find it.
If I delete a clip from the timeline, I have a gap.... So how do i move ALL of the clips after the gap up to fill it in (without doing them 1 at a time and leaving parts of my sound out of...
Hello all!
When I import MP3's into FCP and place them in the timeline I get little blips in the sound. In 40 seconds I've got 3 blips already.
I play the same MP3 through iTunes and they're not there.
I thought perhaps they'd go when I export the movie, but alas they remain.
I'm sure...
I’m just getting my head around the concept of monitoring, and I think it’s something a lot of people have trouble understanding. Let’s talk about it!
So monitoring is simply how you view your footage?
Whilst we are all editing on computer screens, it’s been suggested many times that it would...
Heya Kids! I have finally managed to set up FCP to capture my 25P footage and not look pixely/low quality.
The issue I’m having now is:
When I import .jpegs or .png files they look like low resolution files (even if they’re massive files outside of FCP)
Any clues to why this is and how I can...
