Another Compression Topic

Hi Guys,

I have a 10 minute film that I'm wanting to get as close to 100mb as I can (but not over) Ideally it would be a .mov file or a .mpeg.

Obviously, quality is the key factor here.

I've been using the quicktime conversion settings, turning the film into a .mov file using the "Broadband High" settings that are included. I love the quality but the colours seem slightly off.

Using this setting the film comes in at 55mb, so I've got another 45mb to try and make the colours more acurate.

Does anyone have any advice on this?

It'd be much appreciated!

Where are these "Broadband High" settings you're talking about? I took a quick look through and didn't see any such thing.

So you're using File > Export > Quicktime Conversion correct? You're not using Compressor or another third party application? And what codec are you using for your compression exactly?

If you are simply using the Quicktime Conversion option, go into your options. There is Filter button in there. You can apply some basic color adjustments through there. It might help compensate things a bit for you. I think Compressor allows for the same.

cheers.
