That sounds great Mike! It's awesome to see your film with a live audience. Got to show my Timefest entry in a theatre this year and it really was a cool event.

Was about to ask if you got my PM, but you already answered in the meantime :D
 
Great news about the festival! It really is a whole other experience sitting in a theater full of people who haven't seen the film before and see how they react to your work.
 
The viewing was tonight! They both went over quite well. You could have heard a pin drop during the hallway scene in The Watchman. Not sure if that's good or bad. :evil:

The reaction that we got at the end of CFTFB was perfect! Johni was quite pleased, as was I. :thumbup: :thumbup:

Great turnout as well.

Thanks, Susanne. Yah, we all had a great time. Plenty of other fun movies in the Fest. Quite a few from Montreal as well.

Some exciting news.... Johni just got a part in a Feature Film that he will be shooting over the summer in Toronto! I'm not at liberty to say anything more at this point but I'll keep everyone up to date once the details are made public. Concerning who is involved I'm thinking that it will be a very wide release. :beer:

Hey Mike, just wanted to let you know that you were in my top three. I thought for sure you would make it. Well, congrats on having a fantastic film, regardless of ranking.
 
Hey Mike. Twice in the top 7 and although I would say congrats for that I also think you are unlucky to have missed out on a place. It wont be long. Well done and we'll see you soon ;-)

Thanks. I ended up in sixth place with a 7.12 average. Not bad, but not great either.

Oh well. It was fun and I'm happy with CFTFB. :thumbup:

Hey man, sorry it took me so long to comment on this.

Congrats on making it into the finalists! This was easily one of my favorites (tied with two others for my highest rating). Acting was solid. Concept was rad. The look and feel were perfect for this fest. I really wish I would have made something with this kind of mood. -Something I still want to try for and this was a great inspiration for that.

Quick story: I was watching a bunch of these at the beginning with a friend and she basically was getting bored and badmouthing every one within the first minute or two. She didn't have much good to say about mine either (at least initially). Then we played this one and... she quickly shut up. The opening scene really wowed her and I agreed that this was definitely one of the few big-time standouts.

Can't wait to see more stuff from you. Great work!
