SINAMON PRODUCTIONS presents "FALLING"

No, no, no, you have this all wrong. I will slap YOU if I don't like it. Got it?
Be careful with you words young man. I am the one with the two axes and if you don't watch your words you will end up like this:

Thanks guys!

I guess it's easy to slap a pinguin. and pinguins aren't that tall either mostly.
Yeah, should be no problem at all :D
Phenomenal location - you're doing fight stunts? That's commitment right there.
Kind of... just wait and see :)

Bwahaha, I have to watch that over and over - cant stop laughing my ass of.

Frank
Bwahah, thats definitely hypnotizing :D

You + two Axes = scary stuff for anyone dating your someday daughter!

Haha, yeah, thats the way I'm going to open the door when the guy shows up

Yesterday I sent the script to the Penguin. Let's see how he is going to rip it apart. :D

Going to send it to Luis too I think. He offered to send me a couple of different reads of the narrator part once I have a rough script. He definitely is a great guy!

Man, collaboration is just awesome. Amazing what you can do over the internet :)

To do list for the next few weeks:
- Finalize the script
- Rehearsals
- Stunt training and coordination
- Figure out how to do some fights
- Organize wardrobe

And much more which I just forgot :D

Yeah, except the wardrobe everything is finished! j/k aswell

I sent the script of to the penguin and am waiting for his reply. He is quite busy, so that might take some time. I also contacted Luis about a demo read and he will get back to me on Monday.

It's slowing down a bit, because now I have to wait for others to move :D Just contacted two actors and have to wait also for their reply.

I just updated the Poster a little bit. Added a small credit block :)

Made some dolly tests today. My grandma came for barbecue today and I filmed a little bit. I'll see how it turned out.

Tomorrow I will buy some better tracks for the dolly and also prepare some board to put them under the track. Somebody know how that is called?

Shims?

Are you going to get some 10ft sections? When they cut the pipe at the hardware store they don't get the cuts too straight and its a bit of a PITA.

No, it's more like 6.6ft. And I cut the ends by myself. The hardware stores over here are quite limited. That really sucks. I always have to compromise because I can't get the stuff I need.

The ends are made so that you can put two pipes together, thus I have to cut the bigger end. I did not yet figure out how to make the joints. I've seen some solutions on the net, so I'll see what I can find in the hardware store. Maybe like a wooden piece in between the pipes with a cut in the middle and then gets spread by a screw. Do you know what I mean? Hard to describe.

At first I didn't plan to make such long tracks. But yesterday I thought of a cool dolly scene for "Falling" which is a bit longer. :D

I already have my own dolly and tracks so I was wondering if you had come up with a new way to make the joins. I've gone the way of set screws that sit in the join.. rotate the track so the holes align, and then extend the screw so it fits into the hole. works pretty good so far.

Hey Simon,

I'm really looking forward to this! I really liked the visual style of "No Air" from the last fest and I hope you bring your unique vision to play in this film as well!

Not to mention...this one looks like a lot of fun (anytime you have two axes and a cool looking location that's a good sign)! :D

Keep the updates coming!

Daniel

Rumor has it that you are going all out this time and that you are promising to be a finalist. Is this true Simon? Go for it man!!!

Simon has that Johnny Depp thing going on.

Johnny Depp, two axes, cool location, bridge to nowhere ...

Is it October 27th yet?
