Building the dolly didn't take so long. Total build time about 1 1/2 hours :) I've also got some track now.

Quick and dirty, but it gets the job done :thumbsup:

get some eyelets on the top and with some velcro you can tie the legs of the dolly down. I predict this will come in useful in the future...

also, definitely get someone to push the dolly for you while you operate the camera... helps so much with fluidity...
 
You just made me realize that I don;t have my Hi-Hat here in Atlanta with me. Now I have to go find my drill... and hope I have clearance on the bottom of the dolly...
 
Haha, I really wish I could do that :)

As soon as I've got some more money I need to fly over there for one of these Fest screenings and meet some great people!
 
maybe there is a way you can be IN my film.... the shot I'm thinking of has the character hearing something and turning around... and there's this guy flying through the air at him...

What are you shooting on?
 
Sweet! So am I. Maybe we can work something out if we can match a certain look and get a good body double for you. You up for it? Then you get to be an awesome stunt dude in 2 movies!
 
Bleeding Christ! Simon, I would have broke my neck several times even trying to do something like that.

Actually I am sure you will really be surprised about Falling :D It will not be what you think it might be :laugh:

I would definitely give it a shot, but how do you think that could be pulled off? I mean, I have no idea what you wanna do :D

:cheesy: I left out quite some cool stuff. But when I watch videos from others on youtube I realize really fast how limited my repertoire is :(
