Zenitar 16mm

Been thinking of getting one of these to cover my wide range but was wondering how fish-eye they look on an APS-C sized sensor. I've got the 60D and I want something that works well for my wider shots but I don't want incredible distortion that makes it look like I'm in a Terry Gilliam movie.

I have it, and on a 1.6x crop, it's not so fishy, but there's still quite a bit of barrel distortion. Great for dancing and outdoor shots, but not so great for well-lit interiors where you can clearly see the walls and ceilings bend.

I have one but it gets little use now that I have a Tokina 11-16mm.

Ok, but how much use did it get before you got the Tokina? $200 for the Zenitar is a lot more doable for me than $600 for the Tokina. Will it work for my wide shots or will it give me the warped feeling of a Terry Gilliam movie? This warped perspective is why I've shyed away from the Sanyang 14mm.

My advice... Save the $200 you would spend on the Zenitar and apply it to the Tokina. It really is that much better. You will likely be unhappy with the Zenitar.

Thanks but I'm not getting the Tokina regaurdless of my feelings on the Zenitar. I simply can't justify spending $600 on a lens. It's not a matter of whether I think it's worth it or not.

Kin Lau is right...
If you feel that the samyang is warped, you really have to stay away from the zenitar!
Personally I like it, but I bought it for the distortion...after all its a fisheye lens...
