Hi, Sonys "i.link FAM Driver" (2015) is not online anymore - I made a research for more thank 1 hour - its not online anymore, not supported anymore. Even the productmanager (Sony) has no copy.

Its about reading /writing from and to disk in a PDW330 - PDW800 straight from PC or Mac,

Anyone?
Best regards

ULi

I have what I believe to be the last FAM version to be issued. If it is of any use, let me know. Both Mac and Windows versions and all the accompanying documentation are part of the package.

I've never tried to install it on Win 10 or 11 as I just use the SDI out on my PDW deck and capture from that.

Chris Young.

Below are the details that came with it:

Windows FAM Driver Ver2.30 Release Information

Contents:

FAM Driver Version 2.30 adds and includes the following items.
1. Support for Microsoft Windows 7 32bit and 64bit

possible.
3. Integration of installer

Hi everone,

@Chris Young:

Hi Chris, I would be eternally grateful if you could make a copy of the FAM driver available to me. I need it for a PDW-R1. Thanks

Not a problem, my man. Helpful people here if you hang around.

Chris Young :) (y)
Hi Chris, and thanks for all your excellent info on this thread. It seems I just missed your upload, can I kindly ask if you might be able to re-post that elusive FAM Driver 2.30 one more time, in my case for Mac but I saw your note about the .zip containing both, and I promise I'll grab it immediately? I can't tell from the Sony documentation if I'll need any other application software to transfer XDCAM files via i.LINK (Utility app? FAM Driver Tool Utility?), or maybe that's already in the zip file, but if you happen to have separately that would be great too!

Right. I have uploaded it again. This time I have included everything I have in the way of FAM and driver software for both the cameras and the PDW-U1/2/4 stand alone XDCam disc drive units. Also, if any use to you? I have included Sony's original release of 32 x PDW-700 and PDW-F800 scene files that they released back in 2009 from memory. Occasionally we used a couple of them. Included in that lot is a PDF sheet that gives you a run-down and description of all the various scene files.

Good luck!

Wonderful Chris, thanks again for this!

Hi,
Sony's i.LINK FAM Driver appears to be discontinued and no longer available online. I need it to read/write Professional Discs from a PC/Mac with PDW deck units.
Even Sony product support doesn't have a copy.
Does anyone have a working download link or archive of this driver?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Raul S.

Yes, Raul. Why Sony doesn't archive this stuff I have no idea. Well I guess I do. If there is no software to support these cameras and decks, drives etc they must assume people will give up on the hardware. Very often perfectly good cameras and decks.

Well, here you go. Up she goes again. This is the package I uploaded previously. It has everything I ever collected while I was shooting and editing XDCam.

Download it from my Google Drive. I'll leave it up there for a couple of weeks:

Good luck!
