Would this dress pattern be a problem?

Wonder which camera was used for the picture... there's obvious moire in the image. Honestly, that pattern is going to be challenge for a lot of cameras, not just DSLRs.

Here's the thing -- ANY repeating pattern can be a problem. Or, amazingly enough, it might not be. It depends on how the pattern lines up with the pixels on the sensor. The more sharply focused the pattern is, the more likely it will be problematic; the softer-focused it is, the less likely.

Chris Santucci posted an excellent little video clip where he demonstrated moire against curtains. He showed how it could be fine at certain distances, and overwhelming at other distances. You won't really know exactly how bad it will be (if at all) until you shoot it and play it back. But yes, you can put the odds in your favor by avoiding repeating patterns, especially repeating patterns of high contrast.

Even shooting film you would never pick that out of wardrobe.
