I F***ING HATE YOU -- a film by SABI -- the extended 9-minute cut

selling the film from this thread would violate the DVXuser terms of use and i really don't want to turn this into a "BUY MY MOVIE" thread. this is just for news and information so i can share the 'how' and 'what' i did with other filmmakers who want to do the same. i'll update the official web site as each sales venue goes live, but those links won't be posted here.

thanks, rubber!

Zak I know you are on the ball with all this stuff and definitely deserve this kind of success for being organized and working hard to make it happen.

Great news sir.

I need to kill you and Sam Balcomb so I can eat your hearts to gain your knowledge. :zombie_smiley:

thanks, JDS.

How did Dances With Films go yesterday?

what a ride. we are all so proud to have been a part of the best film festival in los angeles. the audience responded really well to IFHY. and a lot of the questions during the Q&A were directed specifically at our little film. does that really say anything? i don’t know. but it sure feels good.

I'm seeing the Shorts Showcase at True West just to see this, I'm expecting it to be worth the 8.50. Any chance you're making it up to Boise for the screening?

Bought DVD. Got DVD. Watched DVD. Liked movie. Yay. Can't wait to repeat with Heart of Now. Hopefully you get more cash from the DVD purchase than the download.

Just got back from the screening at True West. Fantastic film. It got a great reception here, and was by far the best film in the shorts program.

Please submit Heart of Now to True West next year.

thanks monkey,

i just got back from the Downtown Film Festival in Los Angeles and it was cool. did a bit of networking with a Sundance programmer who loved IFHY and wants to see HEART OF NOW asap.

click the photo for more on our appearance at DFFLA.

We won the program director's award at the Downtown Film Festival here in Los Angeles. He watched all 80 films and ours was his favorite. and incidentally, he is also a programmer for Sundance and wants to see our features right away. pretty cool.

Wow, awesome.

he also said the last time he saw a short this good, those filmmakers went on to make Raising Victor Vargas and Half Nelson. nice company to be in. I also learned there was quite a bit of debate surrounding our film at pretty high level fest that i won't name here, resulting in us not getting in.
