Wide angle zooms

He said his budget wouldn't allow for it.

The Olympus is quite a bit less expensive, $579 for the native m43 version, or $475 for the Four Thirds version (but, again, it would need an adapter).

The Panasonic is $900.

The Olympus isn't nearly as wide as the Panasonic, but it's a lot less expensive.

Have you used the olympus lenses and rate them,i feal the micro four thirds may be my better option as it gives full control unlike the one with the adaptor, i cant afford the panasonic but i dont want one that wide even allowing for the 2x crop.

Haven't used those Olympus lenses, no... I got the Panasonic and have been very happy with it. Found a comparative review (I think it was dpreview.com) that discussed all three of them though, don't really remember but I'm sure you could find it on dpreview.

If 11mm is wide enough for you and you don't care about AF, go with a tokina nikon mount 11-16mm 28 for like $500-$600 with a $20 adapter

The m43 9-18mm is very nice -- extremely compact, fast autofocus, sharp images. Haven't used the 7-14, but this fellow thinks the 9-18 compares very favorably:http://bythom.com/m43lenses.htm

I don't think it's worth it to get the 4/3 version if you're looking to save a little money -- it's only one or two hundred different and the m43 version will work much better for you.

If you want to save substantial money look at the Sigma 10-20mm four thirds -- I had it for a bit, it was a nice lens image-wise, but very hefty and with almost worthless autofocus (might be better off with a Nikon mount version since those adapters are cheaper.) Honestly I don't think that price difference even makes it worth it, but...

I second the 11-16 suggestion.

Just got the 7-14 and it has a great field of view. I still adore the 11-16 on the T2i, they each have their own character.

They both make me feel like I'm in a Stanley Kubrick/Terry Gilliam world.
