Just a stray thought for a Saturday afternoon.
I see this question asked all the time, whether or not the nudity is justified by the story. The assumption being that if it's not it shouldn't be there. But why?
How often is that asked when it comes to violence or gore or explosions or any number of other purely entertaining aspects of film that happen all the time? So why is nudity any different? Why can't it just be there because people want to see it? Why can't that be justification enough? Movies are entertainment.
