Where are they? - the answers

..neat tax trick actually.
Give's you a large loss at the end of the year (to drop your profits, less to be taxed) and then you rake in teh moeny during the next year.. ..gives you 12monthes to worry baout the next round of taxes.

Not saying that this applies to the HVX.. just in general..

- Mikko ...will be sending out bills for services rendedred next week.

I emailed B&H and got a response that it is coming January 5th. I asked if it is coming to them on the 5th or to me on the 5th and am awaiting response....I hope it's me!

I ordered this thing back in mid November, hopefullt that was early enough.

Im not asking that they ship them with GPS and provide a website with up to the minute coordinates, just maybe send a little e-mail to dealers proudly announcing the 1st shipment of (?) units on (?) date to (?) dealers, by (?), with the next shipment of (?) currently expected (?). Then we can all fight over who gets what... All im knowing is that Im not signing any clients up for that camera until I have a tracking # for the one coming to me, and until then, Im gonna just deal without it the way I always have. Just a little poorer.

Well Kent is about 8 miles or less from Seattle.

My concern is why Panasonic reps haven't weighed in on this.

No offense intended, but it might be appropriate for a Pany rep to let everyone know what the situation is.

I see those responses when there is a perceived incorrect representation of the camcorder or footage.

There's a bunch of people here with a bunch of money invested, and a little information would seem appropriate.

What is the current observation? : "there is no customer service?"

C'mon Panasonic

Happy New Year, and provide a timely and specific update.

For example, December 29th is when we shipped via air to Kent/Seattle.

Deliveries to the first "whatever" will be by >>>>>>>>

This whole this is really quite comical. It's kind of like a school of sharks that haven't been fed for 3 or 4 weeks.

Believe me, I know the feeling very well. I was the original "test pilot" for anything new over the years.

Let's see.

One of first to order the VX1000,
The first to receive the TRINITY in Arizona. Anyone remember that catastrophe????
Bought one of the first X2B's
Bought JVC's Edit systems
Bought two of the first JVC500's (the early models were absolute DOGS!!!!)
Bought two of the first BR600's (also early models were nothing but trouble
Bought two Panasonic EZ30's (One of the best cameras ever made along with the AG450, 455 & 456
Bought two Sony PD150's (still really good cameras)
Bought one DVX100 & DVX100a

The reason that I bring all this up is that I was always very impulsive and had to have the newest and best before it was really tested under conditions that you can't always duplicate in the lab.

Hopefully I"m alittle smarter now. I'll buy the 200, but will wait at least a few weeks after everyone has had an opportunity to test it out before I place my order. It's not a matter of IF, but a matter of when.

This conversation reminds me of when I went searching for the Canon D60 upon its release, and had to buy it from a Canadian dealer (I'm in the U.S.).

If Microsoft couldn't meet the demand of a mass-consumer electronics piece initially, I wouldn't get that excited about Panasonic getting these things out post-haste either.

Bad news.

Just heard that a container ship from Japan just went down somewhere off the coast of Washington. :(

Bad news????

I got my scuba gear. Time to get wet!

It's like waiting for Santa. I was told by Able Cine Tech the only received 3 cameras yesterday that were sent overnight. They have another 14 sent 3day so I won't get one till next week. Seems Panasonic is just sending them as a dribble.

And it did. Some dealers got 'em and have already sold 'em.

Well...I didn't say they did not. If you deliver one cam in the USA, the claim is there.
But you better do not say to much that they really delivered this year, we normally and generally have other expectations with that word. One cam somewhere in the States is not the connotation with the word 'delevering this year'. Or is that a way of saying you practice often?

The first press photos just went up on the Newswire. It's tragic, it looks like at least some of the HVX's got wet.... :(
