I shoot plays and weddings, but am now transitioning hopefully into corporate videos and commercials....They Pay way better!

Films are a curious hobby at this point.

I am the Chief eBusiness Analyst for the largest aerospace consulting company in the world, headquartered in New York City. Annual revenue $1 billion. We are a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary, so I work for Warren Buffet.

I am also the owner of Avenue A studios in the East Village of Manhattan, a small recording and voiceover studio. I recorded the "Chocolate Jackson" theme from Desperate Comfort's Man Hole IV there. I also broker and help book projects for The Buddy Project Studio here in New York. The most recent client was Sufjan Stevens for his record Illinois.

I also build Websites for mainly the entertainment industry, and limit that to only projects that interest me.

Lastly, and only for bands I really dig, I am a guitar technician. That's the guy who appears out of nowhere on stage and exchanges guitars with the rock star after every song. For a while I was attached to GHS Strings, which led me to work with Pearl Jam, Gov't Mule, Eric Johnson, Godsmack, Kid Rock, etc.

:dankk2:

I work in conference/event video. Making opening modules for shows or whatever corporate nonsense is on the list that week.

I hate 90% of it! lol

Just out of highschool this summer. Building up a portfolio so I can go to filmschool.

Dollies, cranes, cameras, crew, a soundstage, digital fx department, oh my.....

I don't think I'll ever want to leave.

Been with a high end event video company for almost 3 years, doing documentaries, corporate, wedding/concert etc.

I also freelance on the side and starting my own studio and have a small project or two of my own per month.

Also will be teaching film this spring at UArts.

Just always had a passion for film making. Never went to any type of school for it but I have met some people who work in film along the way.

Attended Film School in 1990, then became a police officer (?). Did that for 10 years, never abandoning my #1 love (filmmaking). After tiring of being spit on and shot at, I created Glideshot Industries, which is now in it's 4th full time year...The Best Move I Ever Made!

We have a small shop dedicated to nothing but camera transport, and have always been proud to cater to "the little guy" (Just Like Us).

We have had a few large corporate clients (Fisher Price, Nine West, The Office of Tim Burton, etc.), but I'd give them all up for the wedding and student videographer.

I make movies for a hobby.

All the movies I've made thus far are for these contests. The first being for sci-fest, second being for herofest and third and fourth for this one.

It's been a learning experience for sure.

Thanks guys!

I'm an incredibly boring business banker (14 years in the financial industry), who's just forcing himself into this industry to eventually switch careers full time.

I pick up any tid bits of knowledge & lingo as I go.

I own a small video production comapany. I shoot everything except for weddings. Live event, commercials, corporate video, tv shows/pilots, etc.

I am an independent freelance artist. I had always had the aspiration to follow my dream as an actor. Then came a day when I was working in the theatre and began scenic and lighting design. I found a new love that pays a whole lot better than acting!

My designs have since led me to design 2 new restaurants.

I stage manage the New Hampshire Symphony Orchestra and the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra. (Once one got me, the other one wanted me!) I just come in during their concerts and do everything from driving the truck to putting on a tux and working the show.

I still act here and there. I perform in a Musical Murder Mystery company for the last 10 years. I am an actor for mock trials for New Hampshire Public Defenders. And I pick up things here and there, like Court TV and the History Channel.

I, like Kdawg, am a carpenter.

I love graphic design and have made a lot of logos and posters for people.

I also have been shooting a lot of theatre and recitals. All on a Hi-8 and digital 8. (yikes! what a difference than the dvx!!!)

I have always wanted to make films, but have absolutely no training whatsoever.

I have always led my life doing what I love.

I do have too many interests and has made focusing on a career difficult. But I feel that filmmaking best makes up all of my interests. And I hope that I have found a new lead in life!!!
