Imagine having a hangover and being on your way to work despite your hangover when these yahoos show up with all that clatter and obnoxiousness. I'd want to kick them in the nads and smash their instruments. Subjecting people to really loud, boisterous, in your face music performances whether they like it or not just isn't cool. Particularly in a setting where they have little choice but to suffer it. And you can tell from some of the expressions on the faces of people on that train that they aren't happy about some third-rate NOLA brass-band ripoff being all up in their grill while they commute.
Ha! Ten or so years back I was hired to show up at a nightclub with my sax and walk around playing in people's faces (OK backstory--I was a working musician in my 20's, faded it out slowly as my career took over and now only play occasionally.) This weird gig was handed over to me by a fellow sax player I've played with a few times who was hired as a "disrupter" by a branding company as a one of a series of events they had cooked up. It would have made a lot of sense if she had done it as she has also worked as a model--when she asked me to cover her I said, are they quite sure they wanted a little dude 20 years older than you for this? Anyway, I did it for the story. It was actually miserable. I'd walk up to a group of people doing their own thing and have to bust in and start blowing riffs in their faces. At least half the people were completely unenthused. I pretty much died inside.
