I was just illustrating examples of my easter egg suggestion. For anyone who doesn't know; "A113" was the graphics design classroom number at CalArts where many of the Pixar principals studied (as did Tim Burton, etc.) It is tradition to use it in every Pixar film...but it has also appeared in many non-Disney cartoons.

Lucas did the same thing with "THX-1138".

Surprisingly enough I'm having some difficulty coming up with a good story idea. Paul and Jeremiah are ready to rock if I can get it together. We've got the whole Nevada desert as a backdrop which would do well for any desert warfare story, but the heat in June out here is just misery.

Also having issues myself, with the writing phase...really hoping I can get them ironed out. I'm at the point where I'm shooting something no matter what, i just hope it's something I like!
 
Hey, guys. I've been away from fest world for a bit.

Just wanted to drop in and say that I am thinking of pushing the fest deadline for warFEST to something more like middle of august. Thinking of moving to a two fest/year format for a while... more production time, better prizes, little less breakneck pace on our end, etc.

Speaking of prizes, I've got some booked already from barbizon, cpm, and I think one other. Will start a prizes thread later today, and will start populating it as we move through the production period whenever to fest donors commit any prizes.

anyone going to flip their **** over any of the above, or is everyone cool with a little extra time?

+1 Jason... An extra month would rock... We are in pre pro right now and I can not wait to start shooting..Hopefully have a title soon and put up my post
 
I've got my script in a first draft and the extra time might actually allow me to get a film in the fest again! It's been too long. +1 for me too please.
