WarFEST Official Rules (NOW POSTED)

Yes. just need to get together what I have so far, and I will post something up later today... It will NOT be anything near a complete list though. Just what we have so far.

You should bring back the BTS requirement, those were fun to watch

I agree they were good. The issue being some didnt find time to get them up - but all of us can go ahead and do them if we want and encourage others to do so. Ill make sure I do one, just to be the first to put their hand up and say Im doing one - everyone else join in!

Cool, I'd love to see an animation. 6 mins @24fps = 8640 frames / 91 days = ~94 frames a day...better get cracking!

Yeah, that's the rub. I had something I was playing around with and this gave me the kick in the rear to finish it, whether it is done by the deadline is something else.

It does have me wondering how well I could tell a story in 27 seconds. That seems much more manageable than a 6 minute movie.

New to the DVXFests... are animated films acceptable?

I'd love that too. But who said it had to be 6 minutes? UP TO 6. So it can be 10 seconds if they want.

Also who said it had to be 24 fps? You can run stop motion at 12 fps.

I'd love to see 10 seconds of 12fps animation for a dvxfest.

If I could do it I would.

Not to sound too full of myself, but I did six minutes of 24fps animation for the last (Christmas Fest) Fest in December. Why do I get the feeling no one here watched any of those films? "Killer Klaus" was 100 percent animation.

I saw it. Once you've got your models done 6 min definitely doable in CGI. Are you going to do one for WarFest? Since your christmas one was a kind of war, maybe you should flip it on its head and have soldiers delivering presents! I did 15 seconds of cel-shaded animation back in '95 on a VHS camcorder that could only do 2fps interval recording at best. 30 frames edited in camera and still took me two weeks. That crappy camera made me give up on filmmaking for over 10 years. I can't believe how flexible my HVX is by comparison and that's a camera that's more than nudging obselete. If my current WarFest effort fails maybe I'll whip up a quick playdough animation instead.

pushed back even later? Hope that doesnt conflict with a halloween fest for fall festival. I already have my idea ready for Halloween :p
