good news is i am nearly done with all of the flick aspects of the flick business.

some random production thoughts....

i used a crew this time . sweet! i invested in a used sennheiser mkh415 and properly boomed it... what a monumental difference!! this mic is God like!

i am most happy with the acting of my peoples. they absolutely RULE!

for this flick i emphasized 1- story 2- acting 3- sound 4- picture ( used me dvx - i may be the only one left using SD but i think it is more than cool and adequate for what i wanted to pull off - hope you see it that way too ) 5- framing ( sort of included in picture i guess ) 6- oh yeah, a sense of loss!

the main thing i lost so far is sleep.

new grabs ...

as for grabs, none yet. not sure i can put too much up either, want to surprise you guys.

We likes grabs here. Grabs is our precioussssss.

Welcome to the fray dude. I'm sure there are a couple of frames that wont give anything away... after all, it is a 6 minute film....

thanks puck. looking forward to seeing your 2 films.

i will include some grabs at some point, at some point before it becomes pointless to show them.

also would like to make a better poster. looking at it now it's so eh.

put up a better poster!

awaiting my music from Leandro Gardini ( of which i gave him a lot to do here! ) and fine tuning all sorts of things. almost done!

I didn't really understand the story... kinda surreal. Dick Cheney?

Technically, I thought it was very good. Nice cinematography. Your actors were believable, in particular the two leads.

Look forward to your next film.

thanks for the review, Maximus, storywise, i went out on a bit of a limb, but i didn't want to give too much away too soon, i wanted to have a lot of fun with the story, maybe i stretched the idea a bit too far? i thought the ending made everything real clear, but maybe not?

Ok, the ending caught me, I was surprised! Put together well I thought. The singing in the middle seemed out of place to me but, so what.
I liked it, your lead did a good job.

I felt that the film was a little difficult to watch for the first half or so. It was just a little disjointed and unconvincing. I thought the Rick Roll was sort of funny, and even though it was presented in a sort of surreal manner, I felt it was a bit cheap. Until I found the lead typing at his computer, the rest of the film bothered me. After that point--realizing that the counseling session took place online--the production design of the session made sense.

So, even though it's presented in a manner that really gives no time for development except through overly-cogent flashbacks, by the end, I couldn't help but feel a happy and a little uplifted. I really liked the way everything tied together. I was just uneasy about the rest on the first viewing.

Nice effort on this one!

True, but when seen in the context of the situation (counsel session over the net), the Rick Roll with them all dancing and singing makes perfect sense, since they'd all inadvertently be involved in the gag.
