100Mbps Max Latitude Patch UPDATED to Version 2!

As you've no doubt heard, the latest version of PTool3.55d liberates all previously unhackable versions of the GH1. In addition, it provides a variety of new patches that I've been able to incorporate into the 100Mbps Max Latitude Native 24/25p Patch, making it more versatile than ever. Here's a summary of the new features supported in Version 2 of this patch:

* Works on all Panasonic GH1 cameras, both hacked and unhacked.

* Expanded video and audio buffers to guard against recording failures at high bitrates.

* 15-frame GOP-size in both PAL Native 25p and NTSC Native 24p video modes.

* Standard patch: 30Mbps iPad-compatible VGA MJPEG mode records in 960x720 resolution.

* Anamorphic patch: 65Mbps 2X anamorphic VGA MJPEG mode records in 1920x720 resolution.

Well I got an email from Panasonic Direct saying the GH1 is backordered even though I ordered it when it was in stock. The robot Panasonic assigned to deal with emails has assured me that my expected shipping date is somewhere between when pigs fly and when hell freezes over so I'm pretty optimistic!
 
mine was on Thursday 5/26. They don't give you the information you're entitled to so easily -- I recommend using enhanced interrogation techniques and if you're lucky they might actually admit that you've bought some kind of electronic device from them which is a start. And they'll attach 103 HTM files to the email as a kind of subtle FU just so you understand how much they hate you. I don't understand why they would take orders for products that aren't there -- If I wanted to backorder something and was willing to wait for it then I would do that but that wasn't the agreement when I bought it. LOL this is kind of annoying but then I have to laugh at how clownish Panasonic is being..

hmm i just called and they said that the item is being processed in the warehouse and should be shipping soon.. but this is strange since you ordered before I did and they're telling you that it's back ordered for you?
 
Panasonic fail.. I swear, they have the crappiest eCommerce presence of all the major electronic companies.. what pathetic company. Took them a week to tell me the it's no longer in stock even though the order was accepted? Talked 3 reps who all said the order was being preped. I guess now I won't return the camera from BH.

Well there are other options I guess. Adorama comes out to $399.95 which is not that much more than the ~$330 Panasonic was charging. B&H (without the lens deal) and Samy's still has it for $399.95. Just think of the extra money going toward competent customer service.
