Unhackable GH1s will be History

srry am late to the thread. Can someone let me know how certain it is that all GH1s can now be hacked. Is it a maybe or is it def true?

i ordered mine on last wednesday nite and it shipped on thursday. should get it tomorrow. check ups tracking under reference and paste your order#.

I have one that was manufactured in January 2011, but to be honest I don't really know what FPN is from a visual point of view. I don't know what it looks like, so couldn't tell you if it has it or not. I can tell you the footage looks great both in bright light and lower light. There doesn't appear to be any mud or jaggies in high detailed scenes such as grass blowing in the wind.

If this is what you mean by FPN then yeah mine has it pretty bad. ISO 1600, 1/50th, f2.8 on old minolta 28mm. 50mbps GH17 hack with native 24p applied. Very underexposed, very apparent banding. I would never shoot anything serious under these conditions. Proper light is needed.

anyone who ordered from panasonic but can't see any information regarding the shipment? I just see the total amnt, billing address, order number.. no shipping address or the status of the order.. I ordered end of last week.

nothing yet here either.. hopefully will update today since it was Memorial Day Weekend..

I ordered mine on the 26th and never got a shipping confirmation and the order status would never update. I called them on Sunday and told them my order number and they told me that it is in transit and would be here Thursday. The number is 1-800-405-0657. You can also email them, but they never replied back to me, hence the call.
 
This is how to track your shipment with Panasonic, if and only if it has shipped. Get your Panasonic Order # and copy it. Go to UPS.com and hit the Track tab, then choose Track a Package. The trick here is to look to the left and choose "Track By Reference". Enter your Panasonic Order # here in the box labeled "Shipment Reference". If it has shipped, it will let you know when the package will get to you. Mine is coming Weds and I ordered on 5/26/11. Hope that helps some people out.
 
well i called and they said i'll receive a confirmation email once it's shipped. The product is shipped 3 business days after the order date which they say is tomorrow in my case. So i guess we'll see.

thanks.. i just did it to mine and its going to be delivered tomorrow.. i never got an email.. go figure.. now i hope my lens comes in tomorrow.. :)
