Tokina 11 16

Each store is different. You just need to make up your mind and make a reservation somewhere. Then hurry up and wait.

Can't seem to find one anywhere in US. Adorama told me on 4/22 they had 27 back orders with 50 units actually on order-- and no ETA ;(

As I mentioned earlier, last week I actually went to the importer/distributor in Huntington Beach, and they didn't even have one in stock ... they went on to tell me that over 1,000 units were on back-order and they would be lucky to maybe see 200 in the next shipment (whenever that is). With that said, I was able to get one at a small local camera store here in LA the next day. However, all the big-name stores were sold out. You might have to keep calling around (especially the smaller camera stores) and you might just luck out.

If you really NEED this lens, $100 is a small price to pay, I think.

(Speaking as someone who didn't pay the extra $100, of course. :D)

it's actually $157.75 more to be exact. the B&H price was $599.99 flat.
$160 extra is a good chunk of change that could be applied to portion of another lense too!

You may not be shocked by this sample of the lens' FOV...

...until you learn that I took this FROM THE GROUND!!!

Sorry Matt, my overdeveloped ego requires that I one up you at any cost. ; )

Thanks for making me feel worse that I missed yet another 11-16 ;(

Really don't need it until the end of June but it sure would be nice to have anyway.

Amazon seems to have the Sigma 10-20 f/3.5 in stock for $649 but I suspect the Tokina is a better lens.

The tokina is nearly a stop faster, that alone is worth the wait. Build quality is amazing.
