TimeFest Voting - Round 1 - Closing Date

Larry,

I have totally supported the new system from the start and tried to calm down those who have started uproarious riots in demanding the full truth. I love the new system. Further, Wednesday night is a perfect time to end the first round as it will give me exactly enough time to finish watching and commenting.

man, i have a client that works in this manner....the "figure it out as you go" way of doing things.

that comment just gave me a painful reminder of him, but glad to hear that's not the case here. :)
 
This is the first time i've voted so i can't really comment but it seems to be working. I just hope the second phase isn't too far away causing the volume of voting to drop.

The system implemented has been thoroughly thought through and we believe we are moving in the right direction. There are reasons why things are happening at certain times, and why we can only disseminate portions of the information at a time. We are not withholding information to be coy or to lord it over you that we know something you don't know ... there are things that must be put into place at each step of the way, and being the first time using this new system we need to make sure everything is set up and in place.

I know it's hard to wait, but I ask you to trust us.

so, what is the magic number its going to be cut off? Top 10 or 15 or split in half?

I'm interested in seeing how the second round will work.

Maybe there is a little frustration (beyond the fact that you guys don't know every little detail this time) in that it is taking longer this time. Yes it is. This is primarily b/c this is a totally new system this time for voting, and we just want to give a little extra time to make sure folks had time to view and vote, etc, and to do add'l monitoring to make sure things are working how we anticipated.

Future fests, will move along more briskly, but we want to make sure we are covering all bases this time around and that everything is working properly this time.

I guess since this is my first fest it doesn't really matter to me because it seems like an awesome system so far. And since I couldn't tell either way I say nice job guys and thanks for having a fest that we could be a part of.

highly doubt it...but that made me smile, thanks Mark. Its been a long day. Didn't get to sleep, then got called into do the overnight shift...so I'll be up for a while. going on Monster Energy drink right now (the BFC!!!)
