TimeFest Voting - Round 1 - Closing Date

I must've missed it. Do we just log-off the download / vote screen and we'll have our votes counted? After voting for all films, nothing seemed different when I logged out.

I just want to make sure I wasn't supposed to send something to someone or something or somehow otherwise.

I'm an idiot.

Nope ... just clicking on the star marks your vote. And if you change the vote by clicking on a different star rating immediately updates the recorded vote.

Don't have to "submit" anything or e-mail anything or PM anything. Trying to make the process as simple and painless as possible.

Awesome fest, great user interface. Thanks for all the hard work. It doesn't show, and that's often the best sign of a great U/I.

This voting process has been great in my opinion. I think it will show how seamless it is in the speed that the next round hits. The continual update is just amazing. No more having to count votes. Well, as the day nears its end, I am getting excited about seeing how this whole next tier works. I hope everyone that can votes!

This is my first fest and I have to say that I have be come "dvx-junkie". Never before I loved it to stay so many hours in internet. In this sense: Thank you for the organisation to Larry, Barry, Jason and Jack Daniel. I hope that I didn't forget someone!

When do we see how our movie rated?

I mean, I gave myself 10 stars, but I'm not too sure anyone else did.... or did they?

Then, vote! :)

We'll announce finalists likely tonight and possibly the voting info for round two will be provided and will commence shortly thereafter.

With the new system, after the fest closes, we'll likely announce the point averages of the finalists films. Anyone else who is interested in knowing where they stand (after the fest closes... meaning after the winners are announced at the screening) can pm me or Larry and we'll be glad to tell you what your film's vote average was.

Later,
Jason

Hi yeehaanow,

this is covered in another thread :D

The exact mechanics of the voting system are proprietary information. The moderators take the responsibility of the vote very seriously.

As for filmmakers voting for themselves, we're not releasing any info on the specifics of the voting. I think it's classier to allow others to vote on your film rather than voting on it yourself, especially for those who would assign their own film a "10".

Damn! I votet for myselve (no, not a 10) cause I thought everybody dose it - like if there is voting for a politican party you always see them in front of the journalists pruodly voting for themself (at least here in Germany). :embarasse

And to make it even worse - I can not "unvote" me - there is always at least one star left.

Larry, Barry HELP!

Frank

I would PM them. They fixed that for Simon as well.
So... what did you rate your work?

Bye, bye Susanne

I did read the other threads and realized voting a 10 for myself wouldn't really give me a boost, but what the heck!

I wish I could travel forward in Time and see who the winners are now. Good luck to everyone.

3.5 hours to go folks. Finalists and some details for the screening will be announced shortly thereafter as will details for next round voting.

Later,
Jason
