the Wasp (2 minute short film shot on GH1)

Here is my humble first effort with the GH1. I used the Panasonic LA 7200 Anamorphic lens on some of my wide shots, but it's definitely not the best option for zooming (as expected based off research). I also used the GH1 kit lens and a Nikkor 50mm 1.8 for some of my more intimate shots. Lighting was 100% natural and all audio was done in post. Please feel free to share any feedback, good or bad.

p.s. I'm really digging this camera so far.

Very nice. Though that buzzing at the end sounds way more like a fly than a wasp.

Ah Hah... you got me on the details... well it was labeled as wasp in Soundtrack Pro, but I can see where you're coming from:)

Hey Trey. Great stuff.

About the rig, do you just screw the LA 7200 anamorphic lens adapter on top of the Nikon lens (via step down rings) attached to the gh-1?

That was the question of all questions for me just one month ago. Here's what worked for me. I bought a 62 - 72mm step up ring and then a 72mm UV filter which I had to bust the glass out of in order to gain the necessary depth for attaching to the LA 7200.

GH1 kit lens> 62 - 72mm> 72 UV (no glass)> LA 7200 anamorphic lens> :)))

Take care,

Trey
