The Official "Next Fest" Idea Submission Thread

I'm hoping for crimefest now...it got me all excited.
Buuuutt....Moneyfest. Getting money. having "too much" money.Having no money.
Could have alot of different story lines involved there...
 
I would definitely vote for an End-of-the-world Fest. Lots of options:
Plague, asteroid, Rapture, temporal anomaly that causes the human
race to age prematurely (wait, that's my idea).

I'd also like suggest another catagory: Briefest. 24 frames. One story.
 
As its nearing christmas - GoodWillFest
The characters must do one act of goodwill (though that doesn't necessarily mean it has to be in nice circumstances - it could be for evil means)
 
CRIME FEST, which has been mentioned a few times, would be a more likely candidate for our SPRING/SUMMER POPCORN fest.

Remember the WINTER FEST is traditionally more HUMAN DRAMA themed. It usually yields some very strong films and it's good for you guys and galls to eat your vegetables with all the junk food we love so much too.
 
I'd vote for it an ending fest as well. I have some fun ideas to play with for it.

damn. I was hoping to break out the big guns for some crime infested bloody madness. I'm totally not into endfest but I will jump in regardless. Need to shoot something short and fun. Been stuck with features and coporate videos since twilightfest.

Never say never. You might get to break out the guns in Spring. You might still get to break them out during Winter. Depending on the theme something like A Simple Plan or Reservoirs Dogs could make sense for winter too.

I apologise if this has been covered before ..... When does DVXUser post the new fest themes? I seem to always check in during the middle or end of the fest cycles.

I've just made DVXUser a Home Page tab so I can check it every day now to make sure I don't miss the starting point of tne next fest. lol
