Me too, and I'm right there with you in order number I believe, and also have an upcoming project. The people at Full Compass have been incredibly responsive and thorough in providing information, and basically I know the minute they have additional information about incoming product, they will pass it on. I know if they can get the cameras, they'll send them out asap.
 
I'm leaving Shawn alone, trusting I'll get a call/email when it's time. No point in pestering him with "Are we there yet? ...are we there yet? ...are" ;)

Hmmm, me too, hope it's just an oversight. If I've been bumped out of the first batch (#20), need to know, have projects booked in Jan., might have to follow up tomorrow.

Exciting updates about the AF100.

1) Yes, we have confirmed that they've started shipping from the factory!

2) Realistically, please expect about a week turn around for Panasonic to get them distributed out to dealers.

3) Based on what we've been told, we're expecting most of our first order to be filled in the initial shipment. Which is VERY good news. This would allow us to fill the majority of orders placed before December. In the sprit of "don't count your chickens...", we'll know for certain when we have tracking numbers from Panasonic. :)

So, i spoke with a Harry today who confirmed that my unit is indeed shipping out today. however there is still no tracking information on their site, still gives me the same message "In stock, order sent to warehouse "

No e-mail yet. And i ordered early October.. Hmmm :( I too have spent several grand on these guys as i really do like dealing with the same people for all of my filmmaking needs.

Hope to hear from them soon. Their customer service closed at 5.. So now it's more waiting.. Henry, care to chime in here? My order number is 1014803651

Yes, Shawn has been really on the ball. First time doing business with them and Ive been more than pleased.
 
After talking glowingly about my dealer, it turns out our two AF100's were shipped from NY to SF on the 23rd via FedEx Ground, NOT 2-Day Air that I instructed! According to tracking info, it looks like the cameras are still sitting in a Fed Ex warehouse in NJ. Not what I had in mind.

Today I went to visit a competitor rental house(and friends) to see our Arri Alura Cine Zoom on one of their Alexas. Turns out this competitor had their two AF100's shipped by the same dealer the same day and they arrived as requested. So, at least I got a chance to see a production AF100 and I A-B'd it with an Alexa, which was fun(see separate thread). I'm definitely happy with what I saw, even if it was up against the greatest digital cine camera to date!

Yeah, I'm not terribly happy that I could get zero information on the status of my order from Abel LA today... It could come tomorrow or next month for all I know.
 
Well I've heard that 1600 units were pre-sold here in the US, and Panasonic only delivered (or is currently delivering) 500 units from this production run. So, hmm...
 
I got a call today from my dealer at Rule Boston Camera that if I wanted to overnight it the camera would be there on Thursday. I couldn't get it on Thurs though so I told them to just do regular shipping and I will get it in the new year. (Luckily they let me pre-pay though so I could get it on the books for 2010.) I need to order some lens adapters pronto though, otherwise I will have a nice electronic box to play with.

Exciting stuff!
 
I talked to Shawn at Full Compass today, didn't get the feeling I was pestering him (he is, afterall, a god among customer service reps)- we chatted about the rabid fever of AF100 customers and more...

I'm in the first batch (#8, I believe?).

I paid the balance, since the deposit was only $250 and this will get it on this year's taxes. I'm in a bit of a holding pattern for the Birger adapter with our set of 4 L-series lenses, though... I'll play with my f/1.7 FD 50mm and cheapo adapter, but don't know what to expect there.

Thanks Chuck. I've blown so much money on gear this year that paying the balance next year is ideal for me, and so so is shipping next week. I did get the 14 blade (Hong Kong) adapter for my L glass which I expect should hold me over until Birger ships (and maybe we have a dvxuser group buy going).
 
I ordered our AF100 back on October 8th and BHphoto.com order # now says "in stock- order sent to warehouse". Does this meen we do in fact have one of the first units shipping out or is everyone with a B&H order getting this message? I called customer service yeasterday and they said it would ship out today but order status had not changed and still no tracking number. I was relaxing in Steamboat Springs CO, when I saw status update at BH so I headed back to Cali to meet unit at office... Kind of concerned it didn't ship.

I just gat an email from B&H that my camera has shipped. Should have my hands on it any day now!
 
got the email from bh. Camera should be here on the 31st!! :D

my tracking number doesn't work though lol.
