According to CVP, they will reveal all the info they have at 06:00 GMT, which I may be wrong, but I believe that is in 4 hours and 45 minutes.

Which also just "happens" to coincide with the US press embargo time Ned mentioned 2 pages ago.

I do believe we will have lots to talk about in 4 hours and 36 minutes.

Let's make a new thread for that discussion, shall we? This one is about toast.

Stay safe guys, from everything I've seen it looks pretty serious.

F5 and F55

So far the advantages of the F55 over the F5 seem to be:
- global electronic shutter
- wider color gamut (same gamut as F65)
- 180 fps in 2K without line skipping or sensor windowing
- 240 fps in 2K
- real time 4K output
- can write compressed 4K files in camera

Ohhh seems pretty nice, curious what the price of the F5 and F55 will be since the F5 clearly sits above the F3 still in the roster of cameras. Looks nice though.

For both cameras?

It's not supposed to be RAW on-board, but there is supposed to be 4K on board. I'm reading the PDF and it's vague. Best wait a few hours for clarification.

It may only be the 55, but I thought it was both cameras and the 55 had the better options.

Ahh, look at that little shoulder pad on the F55. The form factor it's just like I always wanted...a large sensor version of this Ikegami:

According to Sony official twitter, both F55 and F5 have a dry body weight of 4.5lbs. Pretty nice!

I think it's the F55 only. The F5 doesn't have enough horsepower onboard to debayer the full 4K signal in realtime, and certainly doesn't have enough horsepower to debayer and also write a compressed 4K file?
