Thanks for the support guys, the rough cuts are looking great. It was our first shooting without the tripod and with the 5dmII. The workflow is totally different and I love, LOVE the shaky cam shouldermount look. Filip, our photographer did most of the camera work and I was something like a DP/Director now, which made my life much easier :)
I'm really satisfied with how it went, I will post more grabs tomorrow!

p.s.
It is a ~2eu cowboy hat bought in a China store, we bought 3 colors, used 2 :)

Man, how do you go from the HV30 to the 5D?? After seeing what you did with the 30, it's just not fair for you to have the 5D at your disposal. I demand a recount! Er. . .or something! LOL.
 
Hehe, don't worry, we made a lot of mistakes with 5d, next time it will be better (i'm not saying it's bad now :)). We are editing, sound designing, music composing and animating now, everything at the same time (from tomorrow from the same room :)) so we can make it in time :)

It was a long, fun day. Music score almost finished, editing almost finished. Tomorrow, we are finishing whats left with editing and doing more sound design and 3d animation. We will be on time no problem so we will have more time for details :)
 
hehe, well it's a funny story, I will write it here when the viewing period starts so I don't spoil it. We shot an ending with a twist which at the end wasn't bad, but it was too confusing. So we re-shot the original ending with which I'm much happier now ;)
 
If by test audiences you mean me, yes :)

p.s.
We are having trouble telling the whole story in 6 minutes, we would need 10 minimum, so we might go for a 10-15 minute short.
I will see if we can cram it somehow to 6 minutes...

I was actually aiming for a 10 - 12 minute film, wrote a 12-page script. But when Brandon cut it together it fell at 6:30 with nothing else to put in. Last time I had your problem, aimed for 5 (it used to be a 5-minute limit) and really had a 9-10 minute first cut.

We have faith in you .. you can cut it down.
