T3i vs GH1

I agree with you, I did not see anything malicious in the comment. In fact it was quite enlightening!

I agree also, that's what this forum is all about, discussion.

Sage, what were you showing in your GH2 images? You didn't make a comment. I did see some discoloration in the hand.

-That the gh2 can do great imagery (not only in detail/resolution structure, but in color potential).
In my estimation, its the first dslr approaching cinema quality standards; it competes directly against the Red MX and Alexa as the lightweight/low cost option for independents.
Its true that the hand image is not up to par - I've since really learned how to get much more out of the codec/sensor, and I'm so impressed.

Here is a shot from a recent shoot of mine.
I don't know how thin you need it but the shot below (from a recent interview piece) is as thin as I would want to go... focusing can get extremely difficult at these shallow DoF's. You can clearly see his hair is blurred out while his eye/nose area is sharp. This was shot on a GH2 with an older Nikon 50mm f1.4 at f1.4.

and 1600 ISO street photos that looked like ISO 200. But I can't expect this to perform like a D7000. I knew that going into it.

I just looked at some ambient light iso1600 stills I took over Christmas. They look phenomenal.
I'll put up a blog post on this soon.
