OK, I saw that thread about Olympic addiction. How about a thread about folks who not only did not watch one second of the Olympics, but didn't care to either... anyone here willing to admit that? Is there even ONE such person on dvxuser?
I'll go first. I did not watch, and have no regrets. In general, I'm a massive sports non-watcher. I'll watch just about anything else than sports on TV - or IRL. I've been to one baseball game in my life, and no basketball, football, soccer etc - though I have been to several tennis matches some years ago. I've never watched on TV: a complete basketball game, complete football, soccer, baseball etc. I admit I have watched tennis some years ago, both men and women, but I no longer do that either.
I'm simply bored and not interested in sports - although I do play tennis regularly, and I jog, bike, work out etc. But watching other people do stuff - no, no and no again. Not interested. Some guy jumped with a pole over something, somebody chased something or other - whooptie doo, good for him, I DO NOT CARE.
Now, I'm not saying sports watching is not an interesting thing in an of itself, just that different people have different interests. It's just that you almost cannot get together with a group of friends/acquaintances and not seem like a total freak if you admit "no, I did not watch that amazing game, performance, run etc.". So... anybody else here willing to admit to being a freak? Yeah, I know, it can be embarrassing
