T2i T2i not turning on?

I was using my T2i, with an offbrand battery grip that I've been using for a few weeks with no problems now.
Then suddenly my camera turned off and now it won't turn on.
I'm not sure if it's because of the camera, or if the cheap grip fried my camera or something.
I'm positive that my batteries aren't dead since I have 4 of them, fully charged all 4 and they all don't turn on the cam.

-This was also the first day that I've played around with my new 17-50mm f2.8 if that makes any difference.
-SD card has magic lantern installed, but hasn't ran on ML in about a month.

Have you used the EOScard Utitlity to make sure your card is not still marked as bootable.

Have you tried with a different SD card which has hever been made bootable? (it's good to always have a blank SDHC card that you use as your 'control' card so you can figure out if it's a ML issue or a camera issue)

Did you make sure to replace the battery door when you removed the battery grip?

Yup I used EOScard and the card was not marked as bootable.
Replace the battery door when you removed the battery grip?
What do you mean by that?
All I did was snap it back on

and yup I tried with a different SD card, still not working.
I'm pretty sure it's not a ML issue since it wasnt even loaded when my camera died, or was it loaded a few weeks ago

Unless you completely uninstall the ML bootflag from your camera it will always look for ML firmware on startup if you put in a bootable card. So even if you haven't used ML for a while, putting in a bootable card with no autoexec..bin file on it will still cause a lock-up.

Only other thing I could suggest is to leave your camera off with the battery out for about 24 hours and then try again. That just about exhausts all my suggestions for ML troubleshooting at which point you might be able to eliminate it as the possible culprit.

Is your camera still under warranty? Whatever you do, don't tell Canon Service that you've used you're camera with 3rd party equipment.

Hey Anhyee,

Did you ever solve this problem? I think I'm in the same situation.

Please let me know, Thanks!

Sure would be easy to take the grip off and see what happens.

To troubleshoot, remove anything that might make a difference. In this case the grip and magic lantern seem to be the main issues.

Or the camera may need service.
