Whoooooo Hoooooooo!

People LOVED Stricken!

BEST HORROR FEATURE!

BEST VISUAL EFFECTS!

Award Winning Script!

YAH!

It was good to see you guys, and congrats again on those awards.

I loved meeting your pretty and sweet bride, Brandon. Also, I really liked NGL, as it was the first time I had ever seen it. What a wonderful and uplifting story, with great acting. Thank you for sharing the film and for all your hard work in making it.

Well... It is a strange feeling to actually send out all the screeners today. We sent out 18 screeners to distributors and agents who have asked us for them. Our packages contain: A watermarked DVD of STRICKEN, two cards and a cover letter of important information about the specs of the film. Three large and very interested distribution companies are getting both DVD and Blu-ray disks.

My mind still can go back to the pre-production and run through the whole story of production challenges, building sets, getting costuming together, art directing the sets, setting up cranes, steady shots, car rigs, VFX shoots, etc. Now, here we are seeking sales of STRICKEN. Wow.

Matt and I will be going up to the High Sierra for a few days this weekend and helping with a camping trip for the Jr. High youth from our church... And... staking out locations for filming THE PARK, our new award winning comedy script and next feature film.

As Matt said at AOF "We've been counseled not to discuss the budget" and then as David Fine said "It was under 10 mil.!" lol

:D

Why? Wouldn't it be more impressive to show what you can do with a relatively low budget? Hard to do that without sharing the budget.

Yes if you are trying to get someone to invest...no if you are trying to sell the film for highest profit margin to make the next ones.

Distributors will appraise your film like a home. They walk into it, look around and see what they think it is worth. How much do they think they can make with the movie in domestic and foreign sales vs. how much they think they can give you to sign the contract. Their job is to make the most money having to pay as little as possible. If your movie looks like more than what you shot it for, let them appraise what they think it is worth and make an offer without setting a base value at the get go. If I said I shot the movie for 5.00 then they could offer me 1000 bucks and say I made my money back and then some. But if they see production value that could be 1-5 mil, they will have to take that into consideration on offers, hence the counsel.

One viewer who spoke on camera after the screening, when asked, estimated the budged was above $10M... (We neither confirm nor deny these figures...)

The film was called, "...An absolutely beautiful film..." by Del Weston, the man in charge of AOF, when he spoke at the Script Writers Dinner.

Viewers loved the portrayal of the damaged hero Detective Aro, played by star David Fine.

Many viewers loved the thinker's Hitchcock-like style and the film's pacing was said by one director present to be really enjoyable.

Stephanie French's acting was highly touted by many industry folks interviewed after the film. They felt she was very strong in her performance as Sarah Black.

And, we had so much fun meeting so many wonderful people in the film industry. We now know many people we want to work with in the future.

I would estimate the budget at around $250,000. In my professional opinion. But a lot of industry folks don't know what "we" can do for that kind of change :)

Absolutely. I love the guessing games that I've heard from folks who are ball-parking our budget...I won't discuss our budget until after we make a deal (or deals as it appears we'll split rights in many cases).

Then perhaps we'll discuss it :)

Can't wait to hear more about your distribution options once they start materializing...we're right on your trail in terms of preparing to get screeners out soon to interested Distributors.

Good luck and congrats again on your recent success at AOF.
