Here are some pics for you all. We are stoked. Notice Matt with the energy drink... Many nights until 2am...

Now notice the pics on the right screen. These are actual stills of the running locked cut. Stephanie French as Sarah Black.

David Fine as Detective Scott Aro, the hero of the film. He was superb. Here he gets soaked under the Aftershock rain rig. David Fine is such a hard worker on set.

Here David Fine is again as Detective Scott Aro... Hunting down something evil...

And we celebrate! Here we are listening to a new song written by the band GATJA just for the film Stricken. It ROCKS the credits!

Now we ship the locked cut out for sound and score. Matt's work is not done as he will start at the beginning and do as much VFX as is humanly possible using his Godzilla computer. Once sound is back we will do foley.

Until then, I am writing a script with Matt for our next film, a comedy. :kali:

Woohoo! Talked to Brad Semenoff and things are rolling in the sound design department.
He is a busy Sound Super Hero and I hope he has time for me :violin:

All I know is any Brad is good so I'll take what I can get! Hopefully, that is the entire sound design!

*Waves hand in Jedi-like manner* You want to finish Stricken...you waaaant to finish Stricken.

Thanks Brad!:dankk2:

Tomorrow we get to go to Grand Master Dave Johnson's house to do some camera work and clean up. He is such a great actor. He played Detective John Rich in STRICKEN. He is actually a 7th degree master in martial arts... Quite an amazing guy. Here he is in a pivotal scene with actor David Fine as Detective Scott Aro in STRICKEN. He teaches martial arts online at http://www.masterjohnson.com (He can kick all our butts!) Go check out his website!

We shot two short pick ups we deemed important at Grand Master Dave Johnson's. Present also: Actor of PUSH and STRICKEN, Kenn Arola, AD Troy Ruff (Writer and Director of MERCY - A DVXuser Monsterfest short), and STRICKEN Director Matt Sconce. Matt used his fancy-schmancy phone to show some VFX clips to the cast and crew present.

Hey... They liked it!

Later the next day, Matt went to Yosemite High School and helped the Computer class learn to edit scenes. Helping kids is very fun. Future VFX crews for future films...

Then the lucky guy shot off the LOCKED CUT to Brad for Sound Design and went back to VFX for STRICKEN.

My beast of a computer continues to amaze me. :cheesy: Recently I was rendering out 4k 32bit Tiff Files from Red Cine when I realized I needed to have Premiere CS4 duplicate and consolidate a project including all files onto an external drive. The computer did not even bat a nano eye and accomplished both project while letting me also watch a DVD. During the render it was still averaging about 2000 4k 32bit frames every 30-40 minutes. On Friday, I was rendering the 4k files out of Red Cine and keying 4k files in AE and rendering out of Media Encoder at the same time. It has definitely gone past the point of like of my computer now...I am in Love.:love4: I have the computer specs and parts lurking about if anyone wants to know what it is built with. Just pm me with your e-mail address and I will send you a parts list.

...Had fun doing a couple of pick up shots we determined we wanted. I got to run the Aftershock Rain rig, wet down a huge parking lot, spread slippery soap all over it and then spin the red Ford Focus (driven by Sarah Black) over and over in the rain. Fun, fun, fun!

Happiness is driving like a maniac, spinning a car forwards and backwards at high speeds, and not getting in trouble! :2vrolijk_08:I love car stunt driving!

Matt got his shots and I had a blast. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Good luck with the final bits to your film. Sorry about the job and insurance. Maybe this is just the big set-up to the next huge phase in your life? The Striken franchise!
Looking forward to it!

Here here! Every triumphant film has a second act that is tough for the protagonist. It makes the third act sweeter!

Thanks guys. It is a way to spin objects sitting on a fulcrum. So far, some people are interested so I will see how it goes. On a STRICKEN front. It appears we will be filming the last insert scenes tomorrow I hope. They are being held with placeholders at the moment.
