Sony DSC-RX10 II Announced: 4k internal recording, 1080P up to 960 FPS, and lots more

wow, this looks like a great camera to pair with my NX1 for the price point, and a great vacation camera! I see my Canon gear going the way of the dodo bird for video production in the next six months.

Ok..we have made it to the initial dog footage stage of review ;) Last piece quite desaturated, no?
Anyone noticing this bit? (from BH)

What I don't like about the RX10 and the RX10-II it's that the blue color tend to "bleed", its seems that it's not a broadcast accurate color.

That's nonsense from B&H just some FUD that was posted before the camera was ever released...should never be allowed to post fake "reviews".

The above footage, no offense, is crap in terms of what the camera can do with S-log2.
The Gagnef thing isn't really graded - it looks pretty much like flat S-log with some...I actually don't what they were going for but it isn't a grade worth judging.

I graded some down sampled 4k S-log2 footage this weekend from the RX10 II and I was really surprised at how good the color was and it wasn't difficult to grade as some have suggested.

Expose properly, and use basic skills (the thing missing in so much of the first look stuff that gets posted) and it comes together really nicely.
I used S-log LUTs on some and created a couple of quick 3D LUTs that looked really nice.

Again, don't use anything posted here so far to judge what you can do with this camera.
The real trick, which I honestly never had a chance to do (shooting raw and Prores) was working with the color down sampled from 4k to 1080 and properly graded S-log.
It is a completely different image than anything you've seen from anything but the higher end Sony cameras - night and day from the basic RX10...no comparison at all.

It remains to be seen what can be done with the profile settings. It looks very similar to out of the box A7S footage to me, which can be modified to excellent accuracy by messing with the profile settings. I'm also waiting to see what low light noise looks like. If these two issues turn out to be satisfactory, it's an amazing deal for the price, especially if the viewfinder is the same as the A7S. It won't have the pro "look" of a kitted-out dslr of course. Oh well.

Pay no attention tho that "bleed" comment. It was from some knucklehead making noise before the camera was even released - it's already been removed from B&H at my request. But I agree the footage looks very A7Sish and I can tell you it grades very easily either starting with an S-log LUT or using Filmconvert. S-log takes this image to another level completely, especially color and skin tones.

No they're out there, just that that was posted on B&H well before they were available.
B&H starts shipping wed depending on back orders.
