Some stills from a recent project

Used the 7D for some insert shots on an upcoming project. I know some folks think I'm pretty hard on the 7D (and all DSLRs), so I thought I'd show you some shots where I think it made some beautiful images...

Gorgeous, wouldn't expect anything less from THE Barry Green! What were your picture settings? Any post tweaks, grading/sharpening?

It's nice to see properly lit footage. There's so much point and shoot 7d footage out there, so this is nice to see.

No post work at all, those are camera originals. No grading, no sharpening, no anything. Heck, the only thing that was done to them was resizing them down to 720p for easier fitting on screens in the forum.

I don't remember the exact settings, I'm pretty sure it was just "standard", with contrast turned down a couple of notches. In retrospect, I probably should have turned "sharpness" down a little too, but I think it's fine as-is.

Oh, and thanks for the compliments!

The 7D is capable of some incredible results.

Nice barry. be Honest though, when you see theses type of images, don't you feel like cursing at your HVX? LOL.

For this type of shot, the 7D delivered a better look than the HVX could. We were shooting the main project on the HPX170; I think David kind of raised an eyebrow at me when I pulled out the 7D for these shots and I was all "trust me... it's gonna work..." :D

Wow...nice grabs. If folks seen grabs like these from day one they wouldn't be flipping back and forth so much.

Oh wait...I'm talking about myself... :)
