Snow Scenes

Lucky Duck
It actually snowed for exactly 3 hours a couple of weeks ago here on the lake. I was out for 3 hours shooting it :)

Haven't seen any since but put some scenes together for you to see. The music is just a placeholder, in fact, the whole thing is just slapped together. I'll use it for some future film. It's pretty short at about 40 seconds or so...

Enjoy.

EDIT: It's about 1:20 timing now...

Re: Snow Scenes

Looks very nice. Are you just using the lense on the DVX or is there a tele attachment?

Re: Snow Scenes

And this is just a hobby? The passion you've got for your work comes through in every video I've seen. Awesome as always.

Re: Snow Scenes

What shutter speed(s) were you using? It looks like the snow was falling at a rate just right for capture.

Re: Snow Scenes

I always like your stuff, this is no exception. Not a big fan of the last shot with the foot bridge. it's not as pretty as the others and the fence in the background doesn't fit with the overall feel.

just read you post again about it all being slapped together....Nevermind!!

Re: Snow Scenes

Very much enjoyed it :). Great stuff as usual. We have a bunch of snow that will probably be here for the next few months so I'll have to go out and shoot some stuff to share! I've been inspired! :D

Re: Snow Scenes

I've had my fill of snow here already so I almost didn't look at this. But, of course, any Dijectaism will be shown here, can't resist...
Gorgeous as always. Thanks!

Re: Snow Scenes

Thanks guys. Tele and regular lens used here, depending on the shot. The shutter was set at 1/120...I always shoot snow at that rate...catches the flakes real nice 8)

I've got lots more cool shots but saving them for something more structured...

You're way too kind....Looks awsum!!! ;D

Re: Snow Scenes

Nice, D-

I found it interesting that the codec had some serious trouble getting a clean encode. Lots of pixelation, but it can't be helped much, as I think this is one of those nightmare scenarios for encoders.

Re: Snow Scenes

Hey D, I like the music...

Kind of fairy taleish... Matches the snow. And of course, the ducks get their musical cue (the strings) as always ;)
