SINAMON PRODUCTIONS present "NO AIR"

Hey Simon. I just watched your film again. Reminded me of those guys from the old Star Trek series. Left half of face white/right half black. Love the way you play with the metaphor. Absolutely love the smoking scene.

Oh, and I noticed a wall socket in one scene.
 
This was an interesting short. I’m not sure I got it completely, but I’d have to say I was watching the entire time trying to figure it out. So basically smoking is bad, and if you do, you are punished, and then those who punish are actually 'bad' too?

Congrats on entering the fest.

Simon, glad to see anotherm director who gets in front of the camera! Definitly kept me interested just out of sheer intrigue, wondering what was going to happen. I love the way you tied the beginning and ending together with those graphics and the wall color. I, like Justin, am not sure I totally understood. I suppose what I got is that you can choose the "good" side or the "bad" side, but there is always a little bit of evil in everyone. (?) If you want to talk good and evil, I know the theory that blows all others out of the water and is irrefutable. At any rate, well done. I liked the POV stuff. Good job and good luck!

PS: I feel bad for this guy (who reminds me of myself :cry:) He may be smiling, but deep down inside he is lonely.

i like the Sinamon Productions intro. :)
I'm trying to give up smoking atm, and watching this made me hesitate a little longer, until, of course, i had to start thinking about what to write

Haha, yeah I'm a non-smoker. Did you not get the hidden message, that smoking is bad? :D

I don't want them now. I tried them before so no big deal. They still taste as bad as always :D In the killing scene I was always coughing afterwards because I chocked over the smoke when he pushed me over with the chair.

I actually tested smoking the day before shooting. The first puffs really make you dizzy if you are a non smoker.

By the way, today started the anti smoking law here in my part of germany, so you are not allowed to smoke in bars,clubs and restaurants anymore.:)

We've had that here for a few years now. Only designated areas outside are permitted by some restaurants.

There was a huge kerfuffle over it at first. Not even a thought anymore.
