Shot on the 7D for the GoDaddy contest.

I used the 17-40 f/4.0, 50 f/1.4 and 70-200 f/2.8 IS.
Editing in FCP and grading in Color.
I'd love feedback about your first impression of the concept. Is the message clear or not?

Thanks for your comments.

I liked the concept alot!
and liked the shots also, there seemed to be overexposure on alot of them, or maybe that was you pushing the whites in post?? but it looked cool ...
i like the desaturated look.

I think exposure was mostly correct and most of what your referring to was introduced in cc. I'm glad you like the desaturated look. I now realize it doesn't fit the godaddy ads look that's less stylized cc wise.

Very good! Only thing was there was one shot which 'crosses the line' and it looks like the girl is walking behind both the bikes rather than infront of them. Other than that I thought it was great!

excellent blocking and staging, funny short ,nice grade !

The only thing I would lose or disable is the vignette at 16 sec - 18 sec when you tilt upwards its like looking in to the sun for too long ... tunnel vison effect.

Is that Jim Carrey's son BTW !

Which shot is it exactly? I'm not sure I understand which one your referring to.

Loved it. Easy concept to understand.

No overexposure issues for me. Everything looks pretty even.

Nice legs.

If we're going to split hairs, from an editing perspective, I'm a little thrown off by the shot where she gets on the bike. (around :23-24) It's a little jarring, but if intended as a jump cut, no biggie.

And I think I see sticks reflected in the guys sunglasses.

"Sexy Biker Chick Ad"... why am I NOT surprized to see Deepfocus88 here?

Great job by the way!

^ It's over... haven't you heard of "Dirty 30's"...damn, at 40 it's all downhill from there!

Thanks! :)
I agree the vignetting is not so great. It's the one from Apple color. When the camera is static it's fine, but when moving it's weird. Maybe I should have animated it to match the overall brightness intensity change in the image. And maybe tinted it a bit (if that's feasible in Color).

It's funny you mention her legs. I actually never meet the actress before the shoot. I only saw a few pictures but just head shots and upper body. She brought a few different outfit for the shoot including jeans, this dress and other stuff. When she came out wearing the dress with the high heels and everything my wife and the others actors looked at me with a smile. My wife says I got lucky to end up picking Pia for the part.

The jump cut was there to make it fit within 30 seconds. They're are other jump cuts when she gets off the bike. I think jump cut are pretty common in advertisement. But if it bugged you it means it could be edited in a better way.

Good observation for the sunglasses. Also if you look carefully you can see he's actually sitting on the scooter and the scooter guy is standing. That's because the owner of the bike came during his lunch break and he had to go back to work and nobody else knew how to drive a bike. The shots when the bike is moving it's not the bearded guy on the bike. You can see the driver on the mirror reflection.
