Send us your AF100 footage to watch on a movie screen in NYC!

definitely attending this! working on a feature length documentary with an AF100 (just got it two days ago!) as my primary and GH2 as a secondary. would be fantastic to preview how footage from the cam looks on the big screen. i'll already be in the NY/DC area for april/may for Barry Green's AF100 class at AbelCinema.

there is no deadline at the moment, but will likely be mid april or we'll just have to cut off submissions when we get enough to fill the time

based on this statement and the fact that the first weekend of april is next weekend, it seems a lot more likely that this little get together is happening on the last weekend of april. Your thoughts Darren?

yes i would definitely bet for late april, i cannot say any date with certainty until we hear back from the screening room what dates are available, should know more by the end of this coming week

Potential date: april 26th at 8:30pm. we're looking into a possible later date for a 6:30 time, but if that's too far ahead we'll lock in this one. once we have it secured i'll open up seat reservations. how does everyone feel about $3 a seat?

actually now that i think of it, we can make the minimum $3, but if anyone wants to donate more for the charity, all the better. the charity being FreeArtsNYC http://freeartsnyc.org/

Sorry for the delay, the communication between myself and the sponsor and the theater was a long tunnel, but we have a locked in date and time: may 17th at 7pm at anthology film archives. i will be putting up an official page for it shortly where you can start to reserve seats($2.95). i'll post once it's up

Glad you got this figured out. NAB made it hard to focus on much else. Can't wait to see the footage you all bring.

And we do need plenty more clips guys, i mean really, the chance to see your own footage on a large screen with no red tape? i'd think i'd be overwhelmed with clips here!

Hey Andy might you want to advertise this event on Abel's website? we might get even more quality clips from those who frequent that site.

it's completely up to you, either type has it's uses to be shown, or a before/after even better. As long as it's not porn, it'll get shown

It's just a short funny film I made with my son, outdoors, to test the camera with my photo lenses… I thought maybe some would be interested to see how the camera behaves with Minolta lenses. I do have some before/after footage, camera settings and lenses info. If I ever find some time, I'll post them on the FTP ;-)
