Nice find, it looks like an actual size representation. The lens does look beefy but that's what Jim loves doing... he loves putting attitude into every design
I think I see the LCD, from the part where it looks like you can see some of the yellow/gold guts all the way to the bottom

EDIT: At the top end of the LCD itself you can see the swiveling arm.

HAHAHA!!! Well, you inmediately put it on rails, add an SGpro, monitor, batteries, and all that jazz... then it gets a little more mass and you add the RedRock shoulder mount if you ask me.
 
I cannot wait for this camera to come out, I hope it lives up to all the hype.

If you wanted to hand hold it you could just put the rails a cage and some handles on it like the render on the Red website.
 
With the height of that lens, you better save additional $$$ for zacuto z riser and extra rods if you want to use a FF with the stock lens.
 
Thanks for the update. This thing did look like a baby cinder block at NAB, but it was still very sexy.

Scarlet will launch all kinds of new accessories.

here are some of my predictions

Zacuto will release a scarlet specific support. It will be 4 dollars more than the camera.

The Letus guys will release an adapter for it after it has been on the market for about 30 minutes. Then an optimization kit after 90 minutes.

RedRock will take pre orders on a scarlet follow focus that will be released in June...I mean...July...A..Christmas?

More info, straight from scarletuser.net:

Effective resolution 2.1K (better than sony's 100k plus f23 cinealta!)

120fps 3k (2.1k effective recorded) shooting no time limit

180fps in 5 seconds burst (equals, in a 24p timeline, something like 30 seconds of slow motion footage)

Jim Jannard claims better lens operation than HVX/EX1

A 4,5" inch LCD- Excelent!

And all this in a 2/3 sized sensor...

Dreams, it seems, do come true!

Lets hope they get away from the rolling shutter artifacts of Cmos sensors with their new Misterium X sensor- heck, I'm sure they will!
 
Scarlet is going to be a winner, but personally I would have preferred no lens with just a b4 mount.
 
Seriously how is this supposed to be held? Anything we know for sure yet?

I don't see them sticking a strap on the side, but I also don't see how it could require rails and grips and a shoulder mount.
