I took a little time off to shoot a spec commercial. 1080 29.97 with a T2i.
Everything went well except for one of the last shots. I was standing on a big electrical box on a street corner and was using a mono pod for stabilization. first take on the shot didn't go well (little to medium wobble in the shot) It immediately started raining so we called it quits because "I can fix it in post" came out of my mouth.
Shoved it into AE and did the stabilization but........
The tracking ended up showing the black background on a couple parts that really made the shot unuseable. (but I have to use it)
Question is...........
Would it be better to zoom in on this shot and lose some resolution or import all the footy into a 720p project and lose the resolution by going from a 1080 project to a 720 project?
The end product will be on a HD disk as well as also being shrunk down to a SD disk. (DVDs)
