Require input on 20mm lens

I need a "wider" angle lens (20mm range) that is fast. (f1/4 - f1/8)

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Just got the 20mm pancake last week and im loving it. The AF is fast and quiet, its super sharp and contrasty wide open (f1.7). Only downside I would say about the lens is that its kinda funny feeling for manual focus as the servo's actually do the focusing- but its still usuable for video. Took some stills over the weekend with it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/8625918@N04/sets/72157623963699298/

Worth the money for sure.

I kind of like the focusing because it is a little bit slow manually but it is perfect for video because of it...lots of space on the ring in the critical areas....too slow for photos though...but we have AF for that.

The 20mm lens is really a remarkable lens and it should be the very first extra lens for most people who owns a Micro Four Thirds camera. Theirs a reason why it's been hard to get for months when it first came out. I was extremely lucky to have bought in on Amazon in October although my bank account felt the opposite. I just knew that if I didn't get it then, it'll be a while until I can get another chance because of the rarity it had.

If money was no option, you can get an f/1.4, 21mm lens:

I know it's not available at B&H before anyone decides to point it out.

20mm at f1.7 when you're bored at a wedding...

20mm f/1.7 wide open. maybe hit the contrast a little too hard in post on photo.

Looks good! Ben do you have or have you used any kind of 24mm lenses with the GH1?

I'm interested in how much wider the field of view feels like than with the 20mm? My widest is 24mm and I'd really need something a little bit wider to cover my master shots and the kit lens is way too slow for me.

I also have a 24mm Sigma f/1.8 and a 28mm Nikon f/2.8...will take some pictures when there is light. Do you have the kit lens? You can see what 20mm looks like on that.

Only downside is that it can't easily be geared for a follow focus, but I actually love how dampened the focus ring is (for video, for photos its a ***** but you have good AF) so you can actually pull focus..I've been having good lucks with it without marks.

Love this lens. The DOF is something like 4 mm at it's most shallow.

Pretty intense.

I can't resist posting this.

Completely hand-held without any type of support.
Auto focus enabled
ISO: 100 (That's not a mistake)
Shutter speed: 60
Aperture: f/1.7

While it gets darker, the clarity is still their.
This is the original file that came off the camera so you can download it to see how good it really looks.
