What do you guys think of the levels on this? Shot on a cloudy day. Looks okay on the scopes, but seems a bit dull to me. Maybe just a combo of the dull background and subdued natural coloring of the squirrels.

Everyone - Barry, Scott, David, and jmarkham - thanks for all the kind comments and reassurance. Really makes me feel good. I put this together for a class of 2nd and 3rd graders in Hawaii. Figured cute critters and snow would be a sure hit with them.

Barry, I hadn't considered entering the shoot-it, share-it contest due the level of competition that would surely be in the nature category. And my backyard stuff quickly pales in comparison to what I see posted here and on Vimeo. But I will seriously think about it. It might be fun to be a part of the contest regardless of my chances of winning or not.

And Scott, when I mention the level of competition in the nature category, of course, your work comes to mind. I've admired your Klamath and Deschutes work. Beautifully done and inspiring. I'm a fan.

I love this, I would love to put some funny voices to them.

Go for it. It's downloadable. ;) Glad you liked it.

Love it- for such a flat light day, the squirrels pop (and jump...)

Thanks - think I still had that bluejay video in my head (with its bright colors) when I thought this one looked kinda dull. Now that I look at this one on its own and after everyone saying it looks fine, I'm cool with it.

Squirrels move so fast. Am finding it interesting that it's not real apparent to some people not very familiar with squirrels that all of this footage is overcranked.

Oh its so cute!
oops that wasn’t very manly I mean wow super sharp and very cool.

I love shooting on cloudy days. If i was sunny the contrast would have killed it. The levels that is not the squirrel.

Happy to report they were a huge hit with the 2nd-3rd grade class. Also heard rumors of girly-men squeals. :)

True - would have been very tough to capture with any direct sunshine.

Hate to admit this, but once got so frustrated by a squirrel relentlessly emptying my bird feeders that I shot one. Felt so bad that I've since made a hefty investment in some truly squirrel-proof feeders.

I think the colors and levels look great btw.

Thanks!

Love it! I hide squirrels in my videos as an easter egg...long story lol!

I have one wind surfing in the background on the Mediterranean in my last one!

I love it too. Its great footage and very engaging.

I would have been looking for an advertiser to pick it up and running it with a concept behind it.

Approach ad agencies. ( $eriou$ly)

Wow - thanks - never even thought about approaching agencies. Good suggestion and much appreciated.
