Red Scarlet Announcement Info

Is it just me or does the Scarlet look like one of those filing cabinets people drove in the 70's?

Say what you want but the C300 looks pretty stylish by comparison.

By the way, the Epic at 35k$ etc...are you telling me that the one or two measly circuitry boards that are missing in the Scarlet supposedly make up the price differential from 10k to 35k? So the 'circuit boards' in the Epic cost $25,000 more than Scarlet?? That's hard to believe, for that price you can buy like 15 Core i7 computers that can power a 30k resolution sensor lol...

If you want to lug around 15 mac desktops on your back to get 30k go right ahead...

My FS100 is sitting here nice and pretty, half the camera for half the price.
I will be buying a Scarlett, but i'll wait (unfortunately), new year, new camera.

But JVC at 4K and 60 frames per second you get better motion than the Red.

I suspect the Epic price includes the price of a "faulty" sensor or two, just so they break even on those extra sensors. Now they're pulling those sensors and putting them in Scarlet, which equals profit on what was otherwise useless parts. Thus scarlet can be so cheap because of the reduced overhead.
