Rebate

It is now July 22, four months from my purchase of my DVX100B, and I still have not received my rebate.

Anyone that has not seen their book and software shortly after their claim, should have received it. Send me a PM, I can send it on. You will not be hearing back from me but from the rebate center. Please include your real name and your serial number.

Good luck, NAS! I bought my DVX100B five months ago and still have not received my rebate. I just called the rebate center and they told me that Panasonic has my rebate file for final approval and that I should get my rebate check in two to three weeks. The thing is, they've been telling me the same thing for over two months! They say "two or three weeks" and I wait the "two or three weeks" without results and then, when I call back, they say the same thing: two or three weeks." I believe they are just giving me the runaround, hoping that I'll just give up and forget about it. Well, that ain't gonna happen!

Panasonic made a promise and now they are trying to weasel out of it. I'm starting to think that I'm going to have to resort to some sort of legal solution to get this resolved.

It makes me wonder; if Panasonic is dishonest about their rebate programs, how will they be if I ever need any customer service?

I had been thinking about buying one of the HMC150 camcorders next spring, but this is making me rethink the idea. Im starting to look seriously at the Canon XH-A1 as my next camera.

I purchased my camera in the end of april. Have received the book and software. No rebate yet. Trying very hard to be patient as I love Panny's products.

Actually it will happen. Now if you would send me a PM as NAS did, with your complete serial number I can have the Rebate Center find your claim and they can tell me why it has taken so long.

We are not trying to weasel out of anything. When did you purchase your camera?

In general I thinK we are pretty good. This rebate thing has me perplexed though because we do process about 500+ a month and some do go through the cracks. I will help you resolve it with the PM. Give me your full name the serial number, where you bought your camera and when. Also helpful is the address where the check was to be mailed.

Hello Jan, et all

I am in the same boat, but with an HVX200. I purchased the camera in April 2008. It came with the Panasonic 400.00 rebate offer. This is not a rebate to sneeze at. Today's date is
4 September 2008. I have not yet received the rebate. I have called the Panasonic office in Memphis, Tennessee two times. They have only been able to confirm they received the rebate form and all was complete with it. How can I get my rebate? I will leave the camera detail in the private message area, if I can find it.

I take it the rebates are not going on anymore correct?

When I got my DVX the rebate sheet said it was only good up to december of 07'. That's still the case, right? Or should I have filled it out and sent it in anyways?

I apologize if this same question has been beaten to death already.
 
I bought my camera in late August from Shop Sunshine in NY. Can someone tell me what I need to get the rebate, and what that rebate would be?
 
Hi Since Shop Sunshie is a now gray market reseller I would just about bet that your camera doesn't qualify for any rebate. If you want to PM your serial number I can confirm.

I got my rebate check in about 6 weeks time, but still haven't received my DVX book, which is actually what I was looking forward to more. How do I follow up with Panasonic about this? I called the number listed on the rebate form and they said they received my paperwork Oct 17, i got my check about 5-6 weeks later. Now it is right about at the 8 week threshold, so I want to make sure it doesn't get lost in the Christmas rush.

Send me a PM with the serial number of your camera and you real name. It is possible that the book etc was lost in the mail. Can't tell without more info.
