Hi, Guys,

I bought my DVX100B on March 18 and sent off the the rebate form a few days later. Three weeks ago, I finally got Barry's book and the cds but, as of this date (6/18/08) I have not received my rebate. Is anyone else having trouble getting their rebate?

I called the company handling the rebate program to find out how much longer it would be and I was told, in essence, that I'll get it when I get it.
 
It always seems that rebates take forever. If the rebate processing center has a website, keep checking it. Panasonic, obviously, has a great reputation and I don't doubt their integrity to pay all rebates, but sometimes the outsourced rebate processing centers are slooooooooooow. I usually plan on 6 months. If it arrives in 4 or 5 months, I'm delighted. Be sure to set your Outlook or Google Calendar to remind you to check up at least monthly.

Rebate plans only make money for the companies offering them when you don't/can't collect. Stay on top of them.

Did you make copies of all submitted articles (receipt, rebate form, etc)?

i sent mine out forever ago and it is still "processing." bastards. i get the idea is to make it take forever so u dont send it in but seriously. i sent it in. i want my book and my money.
 
i sent it with a confirmation thing from usps to make sure they got it.
they received 5/11 so I'm guessing by the time I want to upgrade to scarlett I'll get the 250 and the book....nice!
 
My book just showed up. Haven't gotten the Magic Bullet Looks software or the money yet tho. I'm a little pissed. The form says 4-6 weeks and most of the rebates I've been involved in are around their estimated timeframe.

I sent mine in 4/2/08, it's now 6/24.

I called the number on the form and was told that it's Panasonic holding up the rebates and they'll be happy to send out the check when Panasonic clears them to. Not sure where the software comes from.

Anyone know anyone we can call at Panny to figure out where the approval is on all these rebates?
 
i remember a couple of months back when the form was online. I saw this email on the form from their secaucus location, their headquarters. some woman's name, she was in charge of it. it is bogus and companies have been sued in the past for this.
 
I tried to call Panasonic today and got the runaround from one machine to another. The machines are voice operated and don't even have a "rebate" option to select. Finally, a machine told me that all reps were busy and the estimated wait time would be more than a half hour! I got frustrated and hung up. I am beginning to get a mite suspicious.
 
just got the book and software. And I was not expecting MB looks. it is more magic bullet than i can handle hehe
 
That kinda sucks. I want Barry's book NOW! I don't wanna wait months to get it when having it at the beginning seems most crucial. I've been thinking of just ordering it online and the selling the new one when it comes. I dunno...
 
Okay, something is not right here. Of all the people who have evidently bought DVX100Bs during the rebate period, has no one gotten the promised rebate? We've gotten the book and software, but not the rebate. What's going on?
 
I think we should start a petition to show how pissed we are. I mean this entire forum is named after their product. It seems insulting for them to not abide to their own rules. They said what time period we had to purchase the camera, and we abided, then they say when we'll get our rebate and don't abide? Definitely not fair.

Maybe a petition can help gain their attention. Panasonic doesn't seem like the kind of company that burns their bridges by pissing on their customers so maybe it could help.
 
How about instead of a petition, you just send a message to Jan Crittenden asking about the status? It's really not hard at all to get in front of the right people.
 
I have, if fact, already sent two messages to Jan Crittendon concerning my rebate and she told me that it is not her department.
