PUSH - Directed by Matt Sconce

Man, that parking garage scene was OUTSTANDING! Very Matrix-y. I also really dug the lighting in the alley. Top notch all the way around.

My friends and I almost made a short called PUSH......but that was about troubles going #2.

overall i liked the entry. the parking garage scene was bad ass. i showed it to a couple of my friends here at school, they liked the garage scene the best too. the doors at first viewing looked a bit too digital for me, IMO of course.

the guy who barges into the house looked so bad ass when he came in. good job!

Thanks! I appreciate the comments!

Thanks! I really worked hard to get the parking garage scene awesome as it was my first attempt at serious acting directing. Thanks for watching and I am glad you liked it!

This film had some of (if not) the best digital effects out of all the films, especially the button (very x-men Cerebero-esque) and when he threw the gun, i thought that was excellent.

That was much more epic than i was expecting and i enjoyed it. Nice work.

Fun action adventure with top-o-the-line cool effects. I liked the running shots from the side and the shot where he falls, then gets up again. The music was well done as was the rest of the audio.

I had a few issues understanding parts of the story (time travel is usually like that, though). I didn’t understand what the button was or who the guy in white was or how that part worked into the story. It wasn't clear if he time traveled in the livingroom or what.

Technically, a fantastic film. Thanks for showing!

Awesome film, guys! Oooh, that Red camera makes pretty pictures, doesn't it? But, you have to have the skills to use it well, and you all do. Add me to the long list of fans of that garage scene! And I just read the BTS on the kick. Wow! My only nit to pick, and it is small, is that the "white room" scene goes on a tad bit too long and slows down the pace. Overall one of the best in the fest and definitely one of my faves! Thanks guys!

Thank you! We were trying for epic...next fest I plan to aim higher.

Thanks! Mike rocked the audio. He is amazing at what he does. I forget sometimes that the sound was not there when we filmed the parking garage scene. AT ALL. He did that all! Mark made some great effects for the film and I can't thank him enough...(You should have seen my "opening doors" before he got to them) I am so glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you for your constructive criticism and rave reviews! :engel017:

By the way congrats on the new baby. My wife is due any day now! I expecting six months of no sleep.

ha!! I hear you man. Mine just turned six 1/2 months old. I'm not getting much sleep and I suspect it'll be many more months. :)

but ya matt, I'm not sure I've said congrats on the little one too.

Life is good regardless of sleep the moment you become a daddy.

Thanks guys! I agre being a dad is mazing. Watching a little person start to discover the world is indescribable and the first time they smile at you, is so far one of the best moment of my life. Thanks for commenting guys. Justin...THANKS FOR THE ROCKIN SCORE!

I enjoyed the short. The acting seemed pretty unrealistic. The white (second chance) scene seems like it should have looked smoother (IMO). Also, being shot with the Red, I kinda expected more from inside the house... It lacked something...

Great job overall! The efforts put into the short can surely be seen!

Thanks for stopping by. :cheesy: If you watch the 2k uncompressed version or the 4k images, then you will see a difference in RED versus other cams. I have noticed that when you scale down you get beautiful lattitude and great images, but there is less of a noticeable difference between the RED ONE and an HPX500 or HVX200 at that scale. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
