PUSH - Directed by Matt Sconce

Not correct. The CGI didn't "suck". It was wonderful. It wasn't as polished as you wanted because you are a man of your word and worked hard to help some friends with VFX for their movie company so they could make money to eat, pay rent, etc.

You gave over three weeks of your hard work and spare time so those friends could be helped on their commercial project. That took three weeks of your time away from PUSH and NETHERBORN.

The fact that you postponed your dreams of NETHERBORN temporarily, and then had less than two weeks to do the VFX on PUSH, for the service of others is admirable, and shows what a high quality person, DP, AD, VFX junkie, and special effects guru you are!

So, for a guy just getting the rough for slightly less than two weeks, working his day job, loving his family, driving two hours a day commuting to that day job, AND shooting a soon to be released FANTASTIC SHORT, NETHERBORN at the same time...

YOU DID GREAT!!! :kali:

Love ya big guy! :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Thanks Gary... I appreciate it... I have no complaints only that I would've been able to do more for PUSH... there is so more that I wanted to do... Maybe Matt will let me tweak some more. :embarasse

I would say i wish I could pull off CGI like that. I wasn't sure where the hell it came from in the parking garage but there it was and I thought it was cool. Good job guys the only thing I hate about you guys is you have a RED and I don't.

Haha! Thanks! Holographic hidden Button Room Doors are commonplace right? Hehe I wish I had a RED...Blare Media was nice to let us use it in trade.

In my top 10 great job guys!

Rogan

Sweet! I just finished watching all the movies, went through and made my top ten list. There were some great films this time around!

Yes, also this has the quality of hollywood film production. The film works on each leval very well. I enjoyed it a lot of and love really the "Matrix" scene in the underground car park. Compliments!

Just saw one I really liked... put it into my "Great Movies" folder. Push is there too... and not just because I worked on it.

I am glad, Susanne! Thank you for the high compliment!

SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!

Now that many have seen "THE KICK" of the gun, here is BTS shots of how we set it up...

Director Matt Sconce is a triple black belt in martial arts and sets up all of his own action choreography. Kenn Arola, also a great martial artist, has his target, a tennis ball, set up for his amazing kick. Notice how high the ball is being hung! Randol (actor in suit) and Tyler, (a new and hard working grip) help out...

Matt then instructs on how to do the kick, with the crew and actor Kenn Arola looking on. Kenn nailed the kick so well that he kicked off the target tennis ball... When you see the kick, you are not watching any special effected movements of the actor at all, he actually did that jump spin crescent kick!

Okay, for clarification -- what do you mean by "top 10 list"? I ask because we changed the voting system entirely, and you're not supposed to rank the films at all. You're supposed to just assign a star rating to each and every film, so it's entirely possible to have five or six films rated a "10", another four or five rated a "9", a dozen rated "8", etc. The system is not designed to be used as a way to calculate what your top 10 films are, and then give one star to #10, two stars to #9, etc. That would in fact be unfairly punishing many of your top films.

Does that all make sense?

Please vote on ALL the films, and assign each of them an overall quality rating, 10=awesome, 1=hideous.

Barry, I mean only that I have ten favorites that in my opinion stand out. I am voting the proper way. It is very possible to rank many 6's or 9's or 10's. I understand that.

Okay, good -- didn't want someone assigning one star to one of their top 10!

The running shots in the parking garage were breathtaking. Really, really great.

As much of a technical achievement as it was, I have to say that I honestly didn't like the gun kicking scene. There was nothing in the film leading up to it to make me believe that the main character could achieve such a move. In fact, prior to that scene, the main character seemed more of a brainy type as he was building something, and I didn't expect him to be Jackie Chan. I liked the shot. I was well done, but it didn't seem to fit the film

The older actor in the white room was spot-on. Very convincing and great in his role.

Good film. Good job.
